THREE STADIUMS IN DISTRICT BARNALA

Under Mission Tandarust Punjab, dedicated to the birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatama Gandhi, construction of 750 playgrounds and stadiums were virtually kicked off by Chief Minister Captain Amrinder Singh today.

These include three stadiums of Barnala district whose works were got started by the Cabinet Minister Mr Gurpreet Siungh Kanagar virtually today during video conference sessions held at the DC Office complex today.

Mr Kangar said that work on constructing 750 playgrounds and stadiums has been started in 150 blocks through the virtual medium by the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh. He added that all three blocks of the Barnala district have got one stadium each including Nanakpura Pindi Dhaula, village Cheema in Shehna block and village Raiser in Mahal Kalan.

He added that the main aim of erecting these stadiums was to give the youth a place to build up their physical stamina and attain best of thoughts. Adding to this a number of open gyms are being added to the villages.

DC Mr Tej Pratap Singh Phoolka stated that the volleyball grounds were being erected at village Cheema at cost of Rs 4.16 lacs and at village Nanakpura Pindi DHaula at cost of Rs 4.17 lacs. At Village Raisr playground was being constructed at cost of Rs 9.27 lacs.

During the virtual ceremony ADC (G) Mr Aditya Dechalwa, ADC (D) Mr Arun Jindal, SDM Mr Varjeet Walia, assistant commissioner Mr Ashok Kumar and others were present.
