The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi with Senior Consultant Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), Government of India, Dr Japaka Madhvi begin Sakhi One Stop Centre (OSC) for women. This Centre is set up to support women affected by violence, in private and public spaces, within the family, community and at the workplace. It was told that the centre is established with an aim to give services like medical, legal, counseling and psychological assistance to violence affected women under one roof where she can walk in without any fear and discuss problems freely. The OSC is made to help victims and provide them access to services under one roof including medical aid, police assistance, legal aid, shelter and other helps to women and girls to fight against any kind of violence. Among others, District Child Protection Officer and officials of MSK and ICPS besides, Consultant from MWCD and other officers of the district were present on the occasion.
