The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) held a big protest near BJP headquarters in Delhi against rigging in Chandigarh Mayor elections. AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann led the protest. Many MLAs, MPs and ministers from Punjab and Delhi also joined them.

Addressing the people during the protest, Chief Minister Bhagwat Mann attacked the BJP and said that on January 30th, the entire country witnessed how the presiding officer of the BJP deliberately tampered with the ballot papers of Aam Aadmi Party councilors in front of the cameras in the Chandigarh Mayor elections. But the BJP made a mistake there and didn’t execute it according to the plan, otherwise they would have stopped the video recording. This is not the first time they have done this. They do this type of rigging in every small and big election, but because of the cameras, they have been caught doing this for the first time in Chandigarh.

Mann said that the BJP has a problem with the elections. BJP leaders want that there should not be any elections in the country. If they have their way, they will eradicate the whole election process of the country. He said that if Narendra Modi comes to power again in 2024, he will implement the law of Russian President Vladimir Putin in India. There will be no elections in the country after that.

He said that just like they did in Chandigarh, they get bills passed in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. They don’t discuss or debate anything in the Parliament. They try to pass all the bills in the Parliament without any discussion or consultation.

Mann said that I am from Punjab, the land of heroes and martyrs. Punjab has fought the biggest battles for the country. 90 percent of the sacrifices for the country’s independence are of Punjabis. Even today, most of the Punjabis are standing at the borders. It is the Punjabis who are the first to face the enemy’s bullets. But today the souls of our martyrs and freedom fighters must be hurting after seeing the dictatorship and bullying of the BJP. But we will not let the sacrifices of the martyrs go in vain. We will fight with full might against those who are attacking the democracy of our country.

He said that we have taken the matter of the Chandigarh Mayor election to the Supreme Court. Soon the Chandigarh Mayor election will be rescheduled and our mayor will be elected.

He said that allegations were often made that BJP wins the elections by using unfair and unconstitutional means, but till now no proof of this was found. But they themselves provided evidence the Chandigarh Mayor elections. And this means their rule and politics is about to end.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hold a protest against the Bharatiya Janata Party at their headquarters in Delhi for rigging in the Chandigarh Mayoral election. On Friday, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will lead the protest against the BJP for their fraud in the mayoral election.

Informing about the same, AAP senior leader and Rajya Sabha member Dr Sandeep Pathak shared a video message on his official X account. Dr Pathak said that in the Chandigarh Mayor election the INDIA bloc had the clear majority. So first BJP tried horse trading but when they failed, they, under conspiracy, postponed the elections. After the High Court’s order, the election was conducted on January 30th. AAP and Congress had 20 votes and the BJP had 16 votes. But BJP’s presiding officer fraudulently invalidated our 8 votes and declared the BJP candidate as the new mayor.

Pathak further said that we are going to the court in this matter but the question arises that even after so many years of independence we are still incapable of holding a fair election. This is a very serious matter. If BJP on record, what we saw in the video of election proceedings, can steal votes like that and rig an election then the doubt is there that they do this in every other election and more importantly what they will do in the upcoming general elections to win.

Pathak also wrote, “The entire country was stunned to see the manner in which the votes were stolen in the Chandigarh Mayor elections and people lost faith in the entire election process.” He added, to save the country from vote theft and to expose BJP, the Aam Aadmi Party will protest at BJP headquarters in Delhi tomorrow. He urged the people to join this protest in numbers because to save our democracy we must register our objection against such unfairness and unconstitutional activities.

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann held a public meeting in support of Gujarat Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Chaitar Vasava.  Both the leaders launched sharp attacks on the BJP and said that Vasava and his wife have been arrested by the BJP government of Gujarat in a fake case. Mann and Kejriwal will also meet Chaitar Vasava in jail on Monday.

Addressing the public meeting, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that Chaitar Vasava has been put in jail by the BJP government for fighting for the tribals and poor people. But going to jail is not going to weaken his courage, rather he will come out stronger.

Mann said that it is not a new thing for governments to jail leaders who raise the voice of the people.  This has been happening since the time of the freedom struggle.  Whoever fights for the common people and raises voice against those who loot the people, has to go to jail.

Mann said that the BJP has done the same with our leaders in Delhi also. When Manish Sisodia reformed the government schools of Delhi the Modi government sent him to jail. In Delhi, more and more children were getting enrolled in government schools instead of going to private schools because the government schools of Delhi were becoming better than the private schools.

Similarly, former Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain rejuvenated government hospitals. Mohalla clinics were built for the common people. People started getting all kinds of health facilities for free. So they also put Satyendra Jain in jail.

These people also put our Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh in jail for speaking against the Adani scam in Parliament. Now they know that wherever Arvind Kejriwal goes in the country, the BJP gets wiped out. Therefore, now they are conspiring to send him to jail also.

Mann said that if the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi think that they will be able to scare us by keeping us in jail, then they are wrong. Whatever they do, Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party leaders are not afraid of them.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab once again launched an attack against BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar for lying about Punjab’s tableau having photos of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal.

Addressing a press conference from the party office on Saturday, along with spokesperson Govinder Mittal, AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang said that instead of talking about random stuff Sunil Jakhar should tell why did he lied about photos of Bhagwant Mann and Arvind Kejriwal. Our tableaus representing the history and culture of Punjab were rejected by the BJP government. But instead of taking a stand for Punjab’s representation for such a historic day, BJP Punjab President chose to spread lies just to defame our government. Through his lies Sunil Jakhar disrespect Punjab, Punjabis, Punjabiyat and Punjab’s rich culture and history.

Kang added that now the Ministry of Defense (Government of India) has clarified that the concept of the tableaus of Punjab which was sent to the Central Government for the January 26th parade, didn’t include photos of Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann.

Kang demanded that either Mr Jakhar should apologise to the people of Punjab for disrespecting our martyrs and rich heritage or he should provide proof of what he is saying. Even after the clarification of the central government, Jakhar on Friday said that he stands by his statement then he should give evidence to support his statement too.

Kang further said that Sunil Jakhar should have taken a stand in favor of Punjab, the BJP is constantly discriminating against Punjab and they insulted our martyrs and their great sacrifices. Instead of protesting against the biasedness of the BJP government, Sunil Jakhar made up his own lies. And even now, when his lies are caught he is not apologising to the people of Punjab.

Kang said that Sunil Jakhar must apologise because what he did is a crime, a crime against Punjab and Punjabiyat. “We will not drop this matter until he apologizes,” reiterated Kang. He added that the people of Punjab will never forget the insult shown by the BJP and its leaders towards the history and the martyred heroes of Punjab. Jakhad, who claims to be the son of Punjab, should apologise to all the Punjabis for his false and misleading statements.

AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal today informed that BJP’s Central Government is forcing the ED to arrest Delhi Cabinet Minister Shri Satyendar Jain ahead of Punjab Assembly Elections 2022.

He stated — We are unfazed by their vendetta politics; waiting to host the ED with open arms. Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “The election season is here. Five states await the change of government this time around. Naturally, the BJP has now turned towards the agencies at the disposal of its Central Government and is making the officers work relentlessly to attack the opposition. We have gotten to know through our sources that the BJP Government is forcing the Enforcement Directorate to arrest Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain before the Punjab Elections. They are trying to frame him in false and imaginary charges so they can hurt AAP’s electoral frays.”

He continued, “As a party and as a family, we have just one thing to say — you are all welcome; we are waiting for you with open arms. The Central Government has conducted malicious raids against Satyendar Jain two times prior to this as well. They couldn’t find even a pennyworth’s mistake back then. We’ll be happy to have them around this time as well. We have nothing to fear.”

The Delhi CM went ahead to talk about the cheap antics adopted by the BJP and said, “This conspiracy is being hatched during the peak of the elections so there won’t just be raids. Probably, there will be arrests too. We are not afraid of that as well. Once you tread on the path of Satya, you are ready to overcome all these obstacles as well. In fact, we’d appeal to the BJP, send out CBI, Income Tax and Delhi Police to prey on us as well. Why arrest only Satyendar Jain, go ahead and arrest as many of us as you want. We don’t fear you or your puppets. Our conscience is clear. Our party thrives on the fabric of honesty and integrity. We are ready for the struggle, come what may.”

He added, “Be it me, Manish Sisodia or Satyendar Jain, we have all faced raids out of political vendetta. 21 of our MLAs were arrested. But in the end, the Courts ridiculed the BJP and rubbished the charges they framed us in. What’ll happen with Satyendar Jain? They’ll send him to jail, he’ll come out on bail after 5-10 days. They won’t have a single proof for the courts to see. We don’t fear raids, we don’t fear jails. We are standing here, undeterred and unfazed.”

Talking about the recent raids on the nephew of Punjab CM Shri Charanjit Singh Channi, he said, “We won’t spiral into a hue and cry like Channi Ji. We won’t get flustered like he has. He has been making a spectacle out of the raids conducted on his relatives because he knows he is the wrong one out there. Everyone by now has seen the mountains of cash he was sitting on that got exposed during the raids. The people of Punjab are in utter shock that something like this could have panned out in a mere 111 days.”

Shri Arvind Kejriwal concluded, “We know we haven’t done anything wrong. We have seen these raids earlier as well. The Centre and the BJP can send out as many henchmen as they want. We are prepared. Don’t hesitate in sending them to my house or Manish Sisodia’s house too. In fact, send them to Bhagwant Mann’s house as well. We all will be very happy to host you and will welcome you with wide smiles.”

Following the COVID guidelines of the Election Commission, Shri Kejriwal, along with the party’s Punjab Convenor Bhagwant Mann and AAP Candidate from Kharar Anmol Gagan Mann, met people door-to-door, listened to their problems, and informed them of the party’s plans for Punjab.

People greeted him warmly as he travelled from one doorstep to another. The elder bestowed blessings and best wishes for a magnificent election victory. During this time, Shri Kejriwal himself distributed pamphlets about the party’s plans and promises to the people, urging them to vote for the Aam Aadmi Party in order to restore Punjab’s peace and prosperity, as well as to establish harmony and brotherhood in the state.

Shri Kejriwal urged Kharar residents to vote for Aam Aadmi Party candidate Anmol Gagan Mann, saying that door-to-door campaigning is one of the party’s strongest points. Disrupting the political discourse of Punjab, AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal has issued a video message addressing the abysmal state of government schools in the state. He said that the condition of Punjab Government schools is distressing, it pains me to see teachers and children suffer because of an incompetent government.

He stated that the future of over 24 lakh students from underprivileged and SC communities is in the dark because the Punjab Government doesn’t want them to excel. He added that the teachers of Punjab are very good but they have been harassed to such an extent that they have lost all hope in the system. He further said that AAP completely revolutionised schools, changed the face of government education in Delhi; and AAP has vowed to bring prosperity in Punjab just like Delhi; we will transform the education system, build world class schools. He announced that AAP will uplift all the students of the underprivileged and SC communities, and help them get the life they desire.

AAP National Convenor and Delhi CM Shri Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday issued a video message. He addressed the message to the Punjab Government School teachers, students and their parents. He talked about the fragility of Punjab‘s education system and the state government’s false claims regarding it and expressed deep concern for the future of the children.

Shri Arvind Kejriwal said, “The condition of education and government schools is extremely poor in Punjab. There’s no sign of any proper education taking place in Punjab’s government schools. The teachers in Punjab are great, they’re talented, but they are extremely distressed with the state of affairs. 24 lakh students belonging to poor, Dalit, and SC communities go to these government schools to seek education. Imagine what the future of these 24 lakh children will look like.”

He added, “Earlier, the condition of government schools in Delhi was also extremely poor. We worked very hard to transform them, and turned them into splendid education institutes. The reform in these schools was so impressive that this year 2.5 lakh students transferred from private schools to Delhi’s government schools. Shouldn’t Punjab’s schools also be well developed and fully functioning like Delhi’s? Channi Sahab says that Punjab’s schools are number 1 in the entire country, that there is no need to fix them. Does anyone actually think that the conditions of schools in Punjab can be deemed number 1 in the entire country?”

He concluded, “In the 75 years since India’s independence, party after party has ensured to keep government schools in their poor condition and not done anything to improve them. They did this in order to keep children of the poor and SC children at a back foot, so that they do not progress. I do not want any power, or indulge in meaningless politics. All I care about is the future of the students in Punjab and want to make sure it doesn’t become bleak. We will fix all the government schools, make them fully functional and give these students a bright future. All we need is your support.”
