Home Minister inaugurates state championship swimming competitions at Ambala Cantonment

Chandigarh, October 15 – Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that Haryana has become the sports hub, and maximum games are played in the State.

        Despite having only  1.3 percent of the country’s total area, the State players have won the maximum number of medals, out of all total medals that India won in the Olympics. Since players of the State have a great passion for winning a maximum number of medals, better infrastructure is being made available to them, added Sh. Anil Vij.

        The Home Minister was speaking after inaugurating the State Championship swimming competitions at War Heroes Stadium, Ambala Cantonment on Saturday.

        He said that in this state-level swimming competition, he hopes that the State players will emerge as the winners and win a maximum number of medals.

        He said that in the last more than seven years, an amount of Rs. 454 crores have been spent to provide better sports infrastructure to the players. Work is being done to build multipurpose halls and new stadiums in many places, added. Sh. Vij.

        The Home Minister said that when he was the Sports Minister, he had formulated a new sports policy for the sportspersons. This sports policy is being appreciated all over India. Other states are also following this policy.

        He said that to win an Olympic medal, nurturing sports talent since childhood is of utmost priority, and realizing the same  1000 sports nurseries were opened in the schools.

        The Home Minister said that the all-weather swimming pool and gymnastics hall of international standard and badminton hall had been constructed in Ambala.  Apart from this, work is also being done to a build FIFA-approved football stadium of international level.

Health and Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said this while presiding over a meeting today. Additional Chief Secretary of Health & Family Welfare Department, Smt. G. Anupama, Director General, AYUSH, Dr. Saket Kumar, Chairman, Haryana Yoga Commission, Dr. Jaideep Arya, Vice-Chairman, Sh. Roshanlal and newly appointed members were present in the meeting.

        The Health Minister said that the Resident Welfare Association should be contacted for conducting yoga classes in every park and society in the urban area. He also approved the proposal of the Haryana Yoga Commission to appoint yoga teachers through the Park Society, in which yoga teachers in the age group of 42 to 65 years will be appointed to render part-time services for 2 hours to 4 hours.

        Emphasizing on setting up of one Ayush Yoga Centre in every district, he said that the benefit of primary health should be provided to the general public through yoga and naturopathy. He also approved the proposal to collect the data of all the yoga classes running in Haryana and organize an annual meeting of all such yoga teachers and review their work from time to time and honour the best yoga teachers.

        While giving consent to the proposal to set up a yoga and meditation centre at the global level in the Gita Upadesh Sthali pilgrimage site at Kurukshetra. The Health Minister, directed to send its budget proposal to the state government.

The Home Minister was presiding over a meeting with the officers of the Civil and Aviation Department, Haryana in his office today. He directed the officers to complete all the necessary formalities. Along with this, air travel from Ambala to Lucknow will also begin soon. The Air Force has also given NOC to start air travel in Ambala. About 20 acres of land along the junction of the military has been selected for the construction of the terminal at Ambala and this land has been transferred by the army to the Air Force. The terminal will be built on this land at a cost of about Rs. 40 crore, for which funds have also been approved by the Union Ministry. He informed that till the time the terminal is not ready for operations, air travel will begin by making a temporary terminal. For this, the team has surveyed and sent the report.

Chandigarh, July 21 – Haryana Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the Haryana Government has decided to conduct a judicial inquiry into the murder of DSP Surender Singh and inquiry will also be held into mining activities in the area.

Sh. Vij was responding to questions by mediapersons here today. Responding to a question regarding judicial inquiry, he said that the Chief Minister has been consulted for this investigation.

He said that he has given full directions to the police that the mining cases should be dealt with strictly.

In response to the question asked in the case of DSP’s murder in Taoru, he said that investigation is going on in this case, besides 700 police personnel have been sent to the site while door-to-door searches are being done so that they can be associated with such cases. Action should be taken against all those who are involved.

In the case of threats to MLAs, Sh. Vij said that STF is working day and night, with central agencies in this regard.

Chandigarh, April 27 :-  Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the Food and Drug Administration Department has two labs one each in Chandigarh and Karnal. Apart from this, provision is being made to open five more labs with latest technology at Gurugram, Faridabad, Hisar, Ambala and Rohtak.

        Sh. Vij was addressing a gathering on the occasion of laying the foundation stone of the office building of Food and Drug Administration Department in Panchkula today.

        Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Sh. Gian Chand Gupta was also present on the occasion.

        Sh. Vij said that the Food and Drug Administration Department, which was separated from the Health Department, was constituted to ensure that people get high quality food items which are free of adulteration.  He said that we have a mobile van which tests milk for Rs 20 and gives the result. Similarly, we are going to get more such mobile vans to test the food items.

He further said that the FDA department recently raided five places in Sonipat and three people have been arrested in this case. The police is trying to nab two persons.

        Similarly, the department has succeeded in busting the firms manufacturing spurious ghee.  He said that even during Corona the department had nabbed those selling fake medicines of Remdesivir and a factory had also been sealed in this case.

        Sh. Vij cautioned that the State Government will not allow the sale of counterfeit medicines and for this teams have been constituted.

        He said that in this episode, Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau has constituted a team which will be headed by senior officer of ADGP rank.

Sh. Vij said that a separate building of Health Department would also be constructed in Panchkula and similarly a separate building of Police Headquarters would also be built. For this a letter has also been written to the Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran.

        The Health Minister said that all of us have fought the battle with Covid-19 and the employees of the Health Department have saved the lives of people. He said that we have made preparations for the fourth wave of Corona and today itself the Prime Minister has held a meeting through video conferencing with the Chief Ministers of the states.  He added that we have conducted free tests, given vaccines and treated people for free and now we are further strengthening health services.  He said that today Haryana has become self-sufficient in terms of oxygen, we have sufficient number of ventilators and medicines available today.

Need to take strict action against the adulterers- Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker

        Earlier, Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker,  Sh. Gian Chand Gupta said that it is a matter of happiness that the foundation stone of the Food and Drug Administration building to be constructed in Sector 3, Panchkula has been laid by the Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij.

        Emphasizing on unadulterated medicines and other food items, Sh. Gupta said that today strict action should be taken against such people.

        Sh. Gupta said that a food testing laboratory should be established at every district level.  He said that it has been seen that many times the report takes a long time to come after sending the sample for testing, due to which there is delay in taking action against the adulterers.  For people to get pure food items, it is necessary the sample report is ready on time.

        During the programme, Additional Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department, Sh  Rajeev Arora said that it is a moment of pride that the foundation stone of the office building of Food and Drug Administration Department has been laid. He said that this building will be built at a cost of Rs 27 crore.

Cases will be filed under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act – Vij

Chandigarh, April 22  – Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, who also holds the charge of Haryana Food and Drug Administration, said that under the campaign to tighten the noose around the chemists selling drugs illegally without license, the teams of Food and Drug Administration conducted raids in two districts – Rewari and Sonipat. During the raids samples of various medicines were taken and other documents were confiscated.

He said that during the raids at the Skin Laser, Cosmetic Surgery and Hair Transplant Clinic run by Dr. Smita Kashyap in Model Town of Rewari, the FDA team found Vikas Yadav for selling medicines on doctor’s prescription over the counter. He said that the team took samples of 5 types of medicines on display for testing and took possession 15 types of medicines under Form-16. According to the team, sales bills were also being issued to patients from the shop without a license and the team has also recovered 34 such sales bills from the spot.

The Health Minister said that under this campaign raids were conducted on illegal shops in Sonipat. Dudeja ENT Hospital Delhi Road, Sonipat and Royal Dental Hospital run by Dr. Gaurav were raided. Director of Dudeja ENT Hospital, Dr. S.L. Dudeja said that Veena Grover sells medicines on prescription giving by him and collects money. The departmental team also took possession of 12 types of medicines as evidence for investigation on the spot. The team also recovered OPD register and purchase bill of medicines from the spot as evidence. At the same time, Royal Dental Hospital found an open unlicensed shop selling medicines on the prescription of a doctor named Chirag, who is Class 12th pass. Doctor Gaurav has kept him on a salary of Rs. 15,000 per month.  The team seized samples of 12 types of medicines from the spot.  Seven other doctors also came to practice at the Royal Dental Clinic and medicines were being given on prescription which is illegal. The team has also recovered sales bills, purchase bills and OPD registers from the spot.

He said that under this campaign, raids are going on at Shri Krishna Hospital, Karnal Road, Kaithal and Popli Nursing and Chest Clinic, Pehwa Chowk, Kaithal in Kaithal city today.  At both the places, the sale of medicines has been found on the counters of open illegal medical stores. In this series, proceedings are going on in Rohtak and Meham as well, under which raids are being conducted at unlicensed shops running in Kundu Clinic in Sector-1 of Rohtak and illegal shop running in Deepanjali Hospital in Meham.

Sh. Vij said that strict action would be taken against the doctors indulging in such illegal practices. He said that the department is committed to make available quality medicines at reasonable prices to the public.  He also warned the blood centres operators not to organize outdoor camps without approval and provide the information to the Food and Drug Administration department as per rules, otherwise legal action would be taken against them.

Anil Vij, who also holds the charge of Food and Drug Administration Department, said that the FDA team has busted a factory manufacturing counterfeit products of multinational companies in Faridabad and succeeded in arresting two persons. On the other hand, the FDA team in Sonipat has also caught the work being run without a license.

Illegal counterfeit production of many products of multinational company Hindustan Unilever Limited, namely brands like ‘Lakme’ and ‘Fitme’ etc.

Sh. Vij said that the Haryana Food and Drug Administration Department had received secret information that a factory was manufacturing cosmetics (beauty cosmetics) without license was running in Faridabad. The commissioner of the department, Bazir Singh Goyat, constituted a team, which included Karan Godara, SDCO and Sandeep Gehulan, DCO. The team raided the spot and during the search found that many products of multinational company Hindustan Unilever Limited’s  brands like ‘Lakme’ and ‘Fitme’ etc. were being illegally manufactured.

He said that the FDA team called the police on the spot and later the representative of Hindustan Unilever Company was called for identification. On this occasion the representative of the company confirmed that the products being manufactured here were fake and illegal. The factory owner is not authorized to manufacture these, he added.

Team took samples of cosmetics of ready-made products ‘Lakme’ and ‘Fitme’ brands for testing
The Health Minister said that among the ready-made products present during the search, samples of 16 cosmetics of brands ‘Lakme’ and ‘Fitme’ were taken for testing and the team has also seized 16 other types of products. Apart from this, empty bottles, cartons, tubes, etc. bearing labels of Hindustan Unilever Limited and Arrow Pharma Silvasa Company were recovered. It was with the fake cosmetics were made.

Products taken in possession worth Rs 20 lakhs, raw material worth Rs. 30 lakh recovered
He said that with the help of the products seized by the FDA and the police team, the value of about Rs. 20 lakh and products worth Rs 30 lakh can be made from the empty bottles, tubes, labels, etc. recovered by the team. The samples are being sent by the department for testing.

FIR registered in Faridabad, a partner of the factory Amit Mittal and manager Naveen Kumar were arrested
On this occasion, an FIR was registered at Adarshnagar police station, Faridabad and a partner of the factory Amit Mittal and manager Naveen Kumar have been arrested. This fake factory was being run by two brothers Amit Mital and Vipul Mittal. During investigation it was found that he has a firm in the name of Mittal Cosmetics in shop number Sadar Bazar, Delhi, through which counterfeit products made in Faridabad were sold. State Drug Controller of Haryana FDA, Sh. Manmohan Taneja has given this information to the Drugs Department of Delhi State and General Drug Controller, Government of India, New Delhi for further action.

Raid on chemical firm being run without license in Sonipat
He said that on the other hand, in another raid, the team of FDA of Haryana has succeeded in catching Prasha Chemicals, Badhi, HSIIDC, Sonepat while making sodium hypochlorite solution without obtaining poison license. The team was led by Rakesh Dahiya SDCO, Sonepat and Sandeep Hooda, DCO was also present on the occasion.
It is noteworthy that Sodium Hypochlorite is notified as a poison under the Haryana Poison Rules. He said that the team has recovered 40 thousand liters of the product and samples have been taken for testing. A case will be registered against the firm under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940, and Rules 1945.

Health Minister Anil Vij’s appeal to the people
Appealing to the people of Haryana, Health Minister, Sh. Vij said that they should buy medicines, cosmetics products and food items only after taking proper purchase bill. He said that there are two advantages of taking the bill, one is that usually the counterfeit goods are not given to the bill taker and even if it is given, the shopkeeper cannot retract and get the goods from him is ensured.

Giving information in this regard, a spokesperson of the Food and Drug Administration Department said that a team has raided a chemist shop and recovered 20 different unlicensed medicines from this shop in Karnal owned by Surendra Singh, resident of Rohilla SS, Kheda Sarfali, Assandh of district Karnal. He added that the shop owner was unable to present the sales and purchase record of the said medicines.

        He said that according to the statement of Surendra Singh recorded on the spot, the team succeeded in catching another person in the same chain named Sandeep Kumar resident of village Ball Jattan district Panipat at bus stand, village Kheri Sharf Ali, Assandh with drugs and 50 MTP kits. He said that Sandeep Kumar was on the way to deliver unlicensed drugs to Surendra Singh.

The spokesperson said that 39 MTP kits have been confiscated on the spot under Form 16 and the remaining 11 MTP kits have been seized under Form 17. He informed that 5 types of narcotic drugs falling under the category of NDPS have been handed over to the police for action as he was unable to produce any drug license required for sale and purchase of the recovered drugs. He added that along with it the shop owner has no previous sale and purchase record of the recovered medicines. The spokesperson said that an FIR was registered against these accused under the NDPS Act.

State Government aims to achieve the target of administering vaccine to beneficiaries within 15 years to 18 years category by January 10- Sh. Anil Vij

Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that now all children falling in the age group of 15 years to 18 years will be administered COVID vaccine by teams of Health Department by visiting schools. He said that we want to achieve this target before January 10.

Sh. Vij said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the children and parents with regard to vaccination. On the first day of vaccination i.e. on January 3, about 55,000 children were vaccinated and so far 96,000 children have been vaccinated.  He said that by late evening the number will increase further.

Haryana has administered first dose to 98 percent beneficiaries while the second dose to 72 percent beneficiaries – Sh. Vij

The Health Minister said that in Haryana, 98 percent of the first dose has been administered to beneficiaries while the second dose has been administered to 72 percent beneficiaries. He said that the new rules regarding COVID-Omicron are being implemented and complete arrangements have been made in this regard.
