Punjab government committed to the welfare of ex-servicemen- Jouramajra

Defense Services Welfare and Information and Public Relations Minister Punjab, Mr. Chetan Singh Jouramajra said that the Punjab government is fully committed to the welfare and development of ex-servicemen and will leave no stone unturned to solve their problems.
Addressing an impressive function for the welfare of ex-servicemen at the local Sainik Bhawan today, Mr. Jouramajra said that ex-servicemen have given important time of their lives to protect the borders of the country and many soldiers had sacrificed their lives to protect the borders of the country. While saluteing the great sacrifices of the soldiers Mr. Jouramajra said the Punjab government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is fully determined to solve the problems faced by the ex-soldiers.
On this occasion, Mr. Jouramajra has distributed 17,03,350 cash grant to 74 beneficiaries of SAS Nagar, Patiala, Fatehgarh Sahib and Ropar districts. He said that a total of 814 beneficiaries of Punjab are being distributed a grant of Rs 1.82 crore under this scheme. Mr. Jouramajra distributed financial assistance checks to disabled ex-servicemen and their dependents. Meanwhile, he assured all the ex-servicemen of the state that the Punjab government is always committed to their welfare and development ex-service men and is committed to provide various benefits to them and their dependents under the welfare schemes. He said that the ex-gratia amount given to the families of the martyrs has been increased to Rs. 1.00 crore and recently the process of providing employment to 12 families of the martyrs has also been completed. Appointment letters will be issued to them soon.
In a conversation with the journalists, Mr. Jouramajra said that the Punjab government is determined to maintain law and order in the state. He said that neither any mischievous person will be spared nor any person will be harassed. Regarding the loss of the crop, he said that the government has ordered Girdavari and the Chief Minister himself has visited different areas to get information about the loss of crops. He said that the Bhagwant Maan government is protecting the interests of the farmers and is always with the farmers.
