District level trials on May 27 & 28
Fully committed to restore pristine glory of Punjab in sports: Meet Hayer
Chandigarh, May 21:
The Sports Department would hold trials for admission to various sports wings in the schools in the age groups of U – 14, U – 17 and U – 19 for both boys and girls.
Disclosing this, the Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said that for the wing at State School of Sports, Jalandhar (Residential) the trials would be held on May 25 and 26, 2022 while the trials in respect of wings at District level (Residential & Day Scholar) would be held on May 27 and 28, 2022.
The players in the U – 14 age group should be born on or after 1.1.2009, U – 17 players should be born on or after 1.1.2006 while the U – 19 category players must be born on or after 01.01.2004.
The Sports Minister added that the Punjab Government is fully committed to restore the pristine glory of the State in the sporting arena and it was in keeping with this goal in mind he had visited various schools and taken feedback from them.
