Wanted criminal arrested by the Haryana Police after a brief exchange of fire in Nuh

Chandigarh, April 16– Tightening the noose on criminal elements, a criminal who was on the wanted list of Delhi Police was arrested by the Haryana Police following a brief exchange of fire in Nuh district. Police has also nabbed three of his aides. One country-made pistol, a desi katta and cartridge also recovered from them.

          Giving this information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that arrested criminal was identified as Javed alias Jabid, a resident of Khori in Nuh. Delhi Police had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on his arrest. His associates are Gajender alias Gajju of district Alwar (Rajasthan), Mohan of village Khori (Nuh) and Ashok, a resident of village Damdama (Nuh).

          A police team had received secret input that a criminal with Rs50,000 bounty alongwith his three associates was present in a deserted room near a farm on main road Taoru. Acting swiftly, a police party immediately raided the location. Seeing themselves surrounded by police, Javed and fellow miscreants started firing on the police team. In retaliation, police opened aerial fire and managed to nab them. Javed, who hurt while running away by jumping into a deep ditch, was admitted in hospital for treatment.

          Police is investigating the criminal background of miscreants. More incidents are likely to be disclosed during investigation.

          In another crackdown, Police has arrested another criminal Musahid alias Musa, carrying a reward of Rs 5,000 from Nuh district. He was involved in about half a dozen cases of plotting to commit loot and dacoity in Nuh and Gurugram. He was absconding for a long time. He was nabbed from village Bawla after getting a secret input.

          Cases against the arrested accused have been registered under the relevant sections of IPC and further probe is underway.
