Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Sh. Anil Vij announced that Ambala residents will soon receive the gift of an airport. It will take only a month to implement this project. Machines have been ordered for the operation, and once they arrive, the project will be fully operational for the public.

Haryana’s Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Anil Vij was addressing the gathering at a program organized by the Municipal Council on Ambala-Jagadhri Road in Ambala Cantt. The key aspect is that Ambala Cantt residents gave immense support in these assembly elections. Therefore, fulfilling his duty, the state’s first escalator-equipped foot overbridge is being presented as the first gift to the local citizens. Over the next five years, the government will continuously provide Ambala Cantt residents with various small and large projects as gifts.

“Thousands of patients and citizens visiting the Civil Hospital will benefit daily” – Vij

Earlier, Energy Minister Anil Vij inaugurated the escalator-equipped foot overbridge project, built at a cost of around 2 crore rupees. He mentioned that this project will benefit the thousands of patients and citizens who visit Ambala Cantt’s Civil Hospital daily. The project will be maintained by the Municipal Council of Ambala Cantt. For safety, four heavy-duty escalators have been installed, each capable of handling more than 2,000 people per hour. He added that after experiencing an unprecedented victory in the elections and celebrating with drums and sweets in the streets, the escalator-equipped foot overbridge project is being offered as a return gift to the residents of Ambala Cantt for their immense support during the assembly elections.

“This is the first escalator-equipped foot overbridge built inside a city in Haryana” – Vij

The Energy Minister praised the NHAI officials, stating that they completed this project within the stipulated timeframe. This is the first escalator-equipped foot overbridge built inside a city in Haryana. The state government has already spent crores of rupees on development projects in this assembly, and it has rebuilt the broken road from Ambala Cantt to Saha as a national highway. Given the presence of the Civil Hospital and the heavy traffic on this road, patients and citizens faced difficulties in crossing and were at risk of road accidents. Keeping their convenience in mind, the escalator-equipped foot overbridge was constructed instead of a regular foot overbridge.
