Chief Minister Dr. Yadav holds meeting in Mantralaya

In a meeting held in Mantralaya chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, regarding the removal of BRTS corridor of Bhopal, it was told that the dismantling the corridor will be started from Sant Hirdaram Nagar (Bairagarh) on January 20. BRTS corridors will be removed from all parts of the city in a phased manner in the next three months. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that BRTS corridors are being removed to ease traffic and for public convenience. The work of removing the corridor should be done at night and in coordination with the police, smooth and safe traffic system should be ensured in the city while the work of removing the corridor is in progress.
Special care should be taken for public’s convenience during BRTS corridor removal
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav instructed to devise an action plan to start normal traffic in the BRTS corridor. During high traffic pressure in different areas, the use of these corridors should be started immediately in a systematic and safe manner. While removing the corridor, efforts should be made to maintain traffic flow by using service lanes etc.
After BRTS corridor removal, six lanes will be available for traffic
It may be noted that the BRTS corridor has 4 parts which includes 6.4 kilometers from Misrod to Ampri, 1.42 kilometers from Roshanpura to Kamla Park, 1.73 kilometers from Collectorate Office to Lalghati and 3.81 kilometers from Halalpur to Sehore Naka (Bairagarh). The action to remove BRTS corridor from Halalpur to Sehore Naka (Bairagarh) will be taken by the Public Works Department. The Municipal Corporation will remove the Bhopal Corridor in the remaining three parts. After the removal of the corridor, 6 lanes will be available for easy movement of traffic. In a meeting held earlier also, there was consensus on the removal of the BRTS corridor of Bhopal.
Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Principal Secretary Public Works Shri Sukhveer Singh, Principal Secretary Shri Nikunj Srivastava, Divisional Commissioner Bhopal Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma along with other officials of the District Administration and Municipal Corporation were present in the meeting.
