Chandigarh, November 9 – Haryana Government has decided to construct a 200-bedded Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Block at Civil Hospital, Faridabad.
While giving this information here today, an official spokesperson said that the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has given in-principle approval to a proposal in this regard.
The spokesperson said that approval has been given to establish MCH wings and blocks in six districts of the state under the National Health Mission. He informed that one MCH block each in the District Civil Hospitals of Panchkula, Sonipat and Palwal and one MCH block at Medical College, Nalhad is under construction.

He said that in-principle approval for the construction of 100 bedded MCH block at Civil Hospital, Faridabad had also been given. It may be mentioned here that in a meeting held under the Chairmanship of Director General Health Services, it was decided to construct a 200-bedded Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Block in Faridabad keeping in view the increasing inflow of patients.
He said that keeping in view the population of district Faridabad, institutional delivery rate, more than 70 percent occupancy of beds and availability of space, 200-bedded Maternal and Child Health (MCH) block would be set up in Civil Hospital Faridabad.
