DC Ramban hands over Rs 9.47 lakh compensation to family of deceased labourer

RAMBAN, MAY 21, 2021: Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam today handed over compensation amount of Rs. 9.47 lakhs as ex-gratia compensation to the family members of deceased Bashir Ahmed R/o Hingni Shagan tehsil Kahri.

The deceased, Bashir Ahmed, was a driver by profession and while driving a camper automobile, he washed away during heavy rain, while he was performing his assigned duty with the M/S AFCONS, Assistant Labour Commissioner, Angrej Singh said.

The compensation amount was settled under the Employee Compensation Act.
