Jaipur, 26 June. Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has been making key decisions with commitment for expansion and strengthening of medical facilities in the state. He has now approved a proposal to spend Rs. 117 crore to expand the facilities in Jaipur-based Mahila Chikitsalaya, Sanganeri Gate.

With the approval of the CM, a 500-bed IPD (Indoor Patient Department) tower will be constructed at the Mahila Chikitsalaya at a cost of Rs 85.57 crore and a new 100-room postgraduate hostel at a cost of Rs 21.43 crore. Medical equipment worth about Rs 10 crore will also be purchased here. As per the proposal, a 50-bed ICU, 6 modular OTs and underground parking will also be constructed as part of the IPD tower.

Regarding additional budget provision, Shri Gehlot has given approval to the Medical Education Department to utilise the amount sanctioned under Emergency Covid Response Package (ECRP)-2 of the National Health Mission. In the budget 2022-23, Shri Gehlot had announced to carry out various development works at the Mahila Chikitsalaya, Sanganeri Gate.

It is worth noting that a 116-metre high world-class IPD tower and other medical facilities are under construction in Sawai Mansingh Hospital premises. The total project cost would be around Rs 588 crore. With its construction, facility of 1,200 beds will be added simultaneously.

Health security of every family is being ensured by Shri Gehlot by providing free treatment up to Rs.10 lakh to the people through Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana. Along with this, accident insurance of up to Rs.5 lakh is also being given to the families registered in the scheme. OPD and IPD facilities are being provided free of cost in all government hospitals of the state from April 1.

Jaipur, June 17. Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that the State Government is committed to save every single life by reducing road accidents. The Government is continuously working with sensitivity to prevent accidents. He directed the transport, police and concerned department officers to make all possible efforts. He directed the officers not to be negligent in taking action and take strict action against the owners and drivers who operate against the rules.
Shri Gehlot was addressing the review meeting of the Transport and Road Safety Department at his official residence on Friday. He said that all the transport tax collection centres in the state will be closed from July 1. Tax concerned with vehicles entering and exiting the state (interstate tax) will be deposited online. This will provide convenience to the vehicle operators. He said the State Government is increasing the number of the digital interceptors in the State for taking action against vehicle drivers violating the transport rules. He said that soon a state-level task force will be formed to reduce the accidents.
Make Rajasthan a Model State in Road Safety
Shri Gehlot expressing concern over the road accidents said that the efforts, innovations and campaigns that were made during the last days to improve the road safety management and reduce the accidents should be continued. He said that the transport department, police department, public works department and other concerned departments working in complete coordination should establish Rajasthan as the model state in road safety management.
Make Master Plan for Road Safety
The Chief Minister said that the transport department will soon start working in a planned manner by making a master plan. Such strict action should be taken on those violating the traffic rules so that vehicle drivers from other states should get the message of following the rules. He directed joint action by the Police and the Transport Departments to stop the sale and wearing helmets without ISI Mark. He said that strict action should be taken against the vehicle owners driving vehicles without fitness, pollution certificates and the concerned documents, along with imparting training to vehicle drivers from time to time, to get the necessary health check-up done and to make the vehicle owners aware to supervise.
Free treatment in hospitals for road accident victims
Shri Gehlot directed the Medical and Health Department officers to ensure free treatment of people injured in road accidents in Government and private hospitals. He said that regular meetings at the district level should be organised to prevent road accidents. He asked to consider the role of civil defence volunteers in bringing down the road accidents.
82% deaths due to speeding, Citizens must follow rules
The Chief Minister said that 82% of deaths in the State take place due to speeding. Along with this, every year thousands of citizens die in road accidents due to violation of rules. It is our endeavour that the figure for Rajasthan comes at the minimum level. The concerned departmental officers should work to prevent this with sensitivity. Citizens themselves should ensure following the traffic rules.
Shri Gehlot said that accident-prone black spots that have come to the fore in the audit of highways should be set right in form of a campaign. Besides closing unauthorised road cuts, complete road signage, marking, lighting etc should be ensured.
The Chief Minister said that the Intelligent Traffic Management System ((ITMS) should be implemented soon to prevent accidents due to over speeding and overloaded vehicles on the highways and main roads. He said that traffic systems should be made high-tech by promoting technical innovations so that accidents are controlled and also to avoid traffic jams.
Health Minister Shri Parsadi Lal Meena, Minister of State for Transport Shri Brijendra Ola and DGP Shri M L Lather gave suggestions for better traffic management. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Abhay Kumar, Additional DGP Road Safety Shri VK Singh and Transport Commissioner Shri Kanhiyalal Swami apprised about the departmental works and innovations done to prevent road accidents.
Principal Secretary Finance Shri Akhil Arora, Principal Secretary Medical Education Shri Vaibhav Galriya, Secretary Civil Defence Shri Ashutosh AT Pednekar, Secretary Health Dr Prithvi Raj and Additional Transport Commissioner Shri Mahendra Kumar Khinchi and other departmental senior officers were present in the meeting.

Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that the State Government is committed to all round development of Rajasthan. Health, Food, Education, Clean Drinking Water, and Social Security are reaching up to ill the last person through public welfare schemes. Today, 90 lakh people are getting the pension in the State and the electricity bills of 6 lakh farmers have become zero. He said Rajasthan has become the first State in the country that presented a separate agriculture budget in the interest of farmers. The budget has been doubled from the previous budget, in which a provision of Rs 89,000 crore has been made.
Shri Gehlot was addressing the convention of farmers and Patidar community at Gyanpur in the Sagwara sub division in the Dungarpur district. He said that the State Government has waived loans of around 22 lakh farmers, has provided relief to farmers by implementing Kisan Mitra Yojana and has benefitted cattle rearers by giving subsidy to milk producers. He said that the general public in the Dungarpur district is being benefitted through many public welfare schemes, along with many important developments being done including Baneshwar Dham. Mahatma Gandhi English medium schools have been opened to impart education in English medium to the children.

It is our duty to respect all religions
The Chief Minister remembering Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel said, “It is our duty to respect all religions. Therefore we all together should maintain peace in the State.” He said that development is possible only at that place where there is peace.
Continuous growth in the field of girls’ education
Shri Gehlot said that it is a matter of pride for the people of the State that there is a continuous growth in the field of Girls’ Education. He said that now medical facilities up to Rs 10 lakh is being provided in Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana for the better health of the people of the State.

Benefit people with public welfare schemes
The Chief Minister said that the State Government has implemented the Old Pension Scheme to provide social security to the employees. It is expected from the employees that they benefit the people by carrying the public welfare schemes to them. He said that the Government took care of every section of the society even in the grim situation of the corona. Food items and financial assistance were provided to every needy with the resolution ‘No One Sleeps Hungry’.
Earlier, the Chief Minister offering prayers at the Hanuman temple built by the Patidar community at Sagwara prayed for the prosperity of the State.

Committed to the interests of every section
Water Resources Minister Shri Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya in the convention said that the youth of this area have got employment due to provisions made for the tribal areas. A new sun of development has arisen from this budget. District in-charge Minister Shri Bhanwar Singh Bhati said that the State Government is making relevant efforts for the development of every section of the society. The gift has been given to the employees with the re-introduction of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme has been implemented to fulfil the dream of Nirogi Rajasthan (Healthy Rajasthan). Minister of State for Tribal Area Development Shri Arjun Singh Bamaniya said that farmers have been provided relief by giving subsidy on the electricity bills. The Government is always committed to the interests of farmers, poor and jawans.
Dungarpur MLA Shri Ganesh Ghoghra, Agro Committee Member Shri Prem Kumar Patidar, Sagwara Municipality Chairman Shri Narendra Khodniya, Former Minister of State Shri Asrar Ahmad, Former MLA Kanta Devi and other public representatives were present at the programme.
