The portal for admissions to all colleges has been reopened from November 16 to 22, 2021.

Chandigarh, November 17: Haryana Education and Tourism Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the portal for admissions to all colleges has been reopened from November 16 to 22, 2021. Students who have not been able to apply earlier can apply now. Considering safety measures amid stubble burning, all schools will be resumed from December 1, 2021 while Mid-Day Meal will start from January 1, 2022.

Sh. Kanwar Pal was interacting with the media persons here today.

While responding to a question regarding dengue, the Education Minister said that fogging exercise has been done in schools to tackle dengue. Safety instructions have been given to the teachers.

On a question regarding shortage of teachers, the Education Minister said that demand letters have been sent to Haryana Public Service Commission and Haryana Staff Selection Commission. Teacher vacancies will be filled soon. He said that the autonomy of the university has not been cancelled. Haryana Public Service Commission has an experience in making appointments, so its experience is positively considered for the recruitment process of professors and other staff. The Vice-Chancellor will be the Chairman of the Selection Committee. Apart from this, 2 members will be taken from the Commission, one member from the government representative and one member from the university will be taken in the selection committee.

Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the Super-100 programme being run by the state government has achieved great success. During this year, 28 children have been selected in IIT and 24 students have been selected in NEET. 7 out of 24 students selected in NEET have been selected for AIIMS. Earlier only two centres were opened in Rewari and Panchkula. But now considering the success of Super-100 programme, new centres will also be opened in Hisar and Karnal.

The Education Minister said that the number of Sanskriti  Model Schools affiliated to CBSE was earlier 22, which has been increased to 136. Regarding the opening of new schools, he said that the functioning of these existing Sanskriti  Model Schools will be maintained on priority basis and then the number will be increased.

Sh. Kanwar Pal said that Surajkund Fair will be organized from February 4 to 20, 2022. This time Jammu and Kashmir and U.K. will be partner nation.
