Chandigarh, July 13– Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that five ESI hospitals (Employees State Insurance Hospital) would be set up and the existing hospital in Gurugram would be upgraded to provide affordable and accessible treatment to the workers and employees of the Industrial Sector. Not only this, buildings of two ESI dispensaries will be constructed and ESI hospitals and dispensaries located in ESIC (Employees State Insurance Corporation) buildings in the State will be repaired as per requirement.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala gave this information today after presiding over the review meeting of the officers of ESI and Labour Department on various issues. The issues of these two departments which are pending with the Central Government were also discussed in detail and the officers were directed to follow up all the above issues and get them approved at the earliest so that the labourers of the State can avail maximum benefit.

Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak, Additional Chief Secretary, Labour Department, Sh. VS Kundu, Labour Commissioner, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal, Director, Dr. Anil Malik, Joint Commissioner, Sh. Paramjit Singh were also present during the meeting.

The Deputy Chief Minister informed that a 100 bedded ESI hospital will be built in Bahadurgarh (Jhajjar) for the treatment of industrial workers. There are also many industrial units in Bawal area of Rewari district where thousands of labourers work, in view of which, 100 bed ESI hospital will be built at IMT Bawal. He said that in view of large number of industries in District Sonipat, ESI dispensary buildings would be constructed in village Badi (Gannaur, Sonipat) and Rai (Sonipat) for the treatment of labourers working in them. He also informed that there has been a demand for repairs in some ESI hospitals and dispensaries, for which, the officers have been directed to get all these projects approved by the Central Government and get them completed at the earliest.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala further informed that new 100-bed ESI hospitals each will also be set up in Sonipat, Hisar and Rohtak for which the officers have been directed to identify the land for the same.
