Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the situation of Corona infection is improving in Madhya Pradesh especially in Indore division. The situation is fast becoming controlled and normal. The next ten days are very important. He urged the public to strictly follow Janata curfew while taking special care and caution during these ten days. He said that concrete arrangements are being made for the treatment of Black fungus in the state. Constant efforts are also being made to ensure availability of medicines and injections. Discussion was also held with the Prime Minister in this Regard.

The Chief Minister informed that Post Covid Centers will be set up in every district for the treatment of black fungus and other diseases in the state. Black fungus patients of eligible families will be treated free of cost in the state. Region-wise strategy will be chalked out to deal with Corona. He lauded the efforts, management and innovations being made in Indore division, especially in Indore district, to tackle Corona. He said that Indore division and Indore district will play a leading role in the state for freedom from Corona.

Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing a review meeting of divisional level Covid control held in Indore today through video conferencing. Chief Minister Chouhan conducted a district wise review of Corona positive patients, positivity rate, mortality, containment area, Covid sample collection and testing, progress of Ayushman scheme, Covid patients benefitting under the scheme, bed management in hospitals and Covid Care Centers, availability of oxygen, status of Black Fungus treatment and operation of Post Covid OPDs and Covid vaccination campaign etc.

Indore leads in state

Chief Minister Chouhan expressed satisfaction over the efforts and management being made for Corona control in all the districts of the division. He termed the works and innovations in Indore division, especially Indore district ‘exemplary’. He said that the work done in Indore against all odds and in challenging situation is praiseworthy. United efforts are being made here. If determined and united action continues to be taken, then surely the battle against Corona will be won soon. He said that Indore division and Indore district will play a leading role in Corona control and management. He expressed confidence that Indore will become the first district and division to win the battle against Corona in the second phase also.

Region wise strategy will be formed

Chief Minister Chouhan said that now colony, locality, gram panchayat and region-wise strategy should be made for the control of Corona. He said that every region has a different situation. Cooperation of regional disaster management committee should also be sought in making region-wise strategy. Region-wise strategy will help in adhering to the public curfew and relaxation in it.

Black fungus will be treated free of cost

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Black fungus disease is a matter of concern. If it is identified on time, then it can be treated. For this, he instructed to carry out endoscopy examination of Corona patients. He said that this would identify the patients at an early stage and would help in treatment. He said that all eligible patients will be treated for Black fungus free of cost.

Post Covid Center will be set up in every district

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Post Covid Centers will be set up in every district for treatment of diseases caused by the side effects of Black fungus and Corona. Specialist doctors will be available in these centers. He said that treatment of blood clotting, side effects arising from medicines given during the treatment of Corona, etc. will be given along with Black Fungus in these centres. Black fungus will be effectively treated. No effort will be left in its treatment. Constant efforts are being made for adequate availability of medicines and injections for the treatment of Black fungus in the state. He said that for this, discussions have also been held with Prime Minister Modi and other Union Ministers concerned.

It was informed in the meeting that a special ward of 120 beds has been started in MY Hospital, Indore for the treatment of black fungus disease. Post Covid OPDs have been started in all the districts of the division. A technical committee of doctors has been constituted to find out the cause of Black fungus disease.

Next ten days are very important

Chief Minister Chouhan said that due to united efforts of everyone, Indore division and state are moving fast towards controlling Corona infection and normalizing the situation. The recovery rate is getting better in the state. Positivity rate is also decreasing. The situation is slowly getting back to normal. He said that the next ten days are very important. With special caution and vigilance in the next ten days, efforts must be made to ensure that people come out of curfew. There should be no laxity. During this, Janata curfew should be strictly followed. Maintain social distancing, wear masks. Pay special attention to contact tracing.

It was told that many districts of the division are moving fast towards freedom from Corona. These districts include Burhanpur, Khandwa, Alirajpur, Jhabua and Barwani. The situation in other districtss is also under control and getting back to normal.

56 oxygen plants in Indore division

Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma said that special efforts are being made to make government and private hospitals self-dependent for oxygen in the division. The process of setting up oxygen plants has been started in 56 hospitals in the division. Out of this, seven plants have been started so far. Construction of the remaining will be completed in the next two months.

Collector Manish Singh informed about the works and innovations done in the district for the control of Corona. He informed that disaster management committees have been formed from village panchayat to district level. These committees are providing better support.

During the review, Water Resources Minister and in-charge of Indore district Tulsiram Silavat, Tourism Minister Usha Thakur, MP Shankar Lalwani, MLAs, public representatives and members of District Level Crisis Management Committees gave important suggestions.
