Chandigarh, October 5 – Haryana Home and Health Minister, Mr. Anil Vij directed the concerned officers to ensure the completion of all construction projects related to sports by the upcoming March.
The Home Minister said this after reviewing the All-Weather Swimming Pool and other construction works with the concerned officers at War Heroes Memorial Stadium, Ambala Cantonment today.
Mr. Vij said that ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’ are going to be organized at Panchkula, in which many games will be organized in Panchkula and Ambala. He said that players will be provided with better facilities for the success of the Games to be held here under ‘Khelo India Youth Games-2021’.
The Home Minister directed the Public Works Department, the concerned agency, the electrician wing as well as the concerned officers to ensure that the ongoing sports-related projects are completed on time. He also took stock of all ongoing works through maps.
He said that the construction work of the Martyr’s Memorial being built near the National Highway in Ambala should be expedited to complete it quickly so that the players coming from outside can also get to know our culture and traditions.
He also directed Director, Sports and Youth Affairs Department, Mr. S.S. Phulia, to continue inspecting the construction works during the stipulated time period and if there is any deficiency, then action should be taken against the concerned officers.
On this occasion, Deputy Director, Sports, and Youth Affairs Department, Mr. Arun Kant, other concerned officers, and representatives of the agency were also present.
