Haryana release Rs. 315 crore to cooperative sugar mills, says Sanjeev Kaushal
Chandigarh, July 1: Reiterating its commitment to ensure welfare of farmers, Haryana Government has released a loan amount of Rs 315 crore as loan to sugar mills for clearing the dues of sugarcane farmers for the 2020-21 crushing season.Giving the details in this regard, Additional Chief Secretary, Cooperation Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal said apart from the said amount, a subsidy amount of Rs 47 crore has also been released to sugar mills, which includes subsidy for the Sarswati Sugar Mill too.
Sharing detailed information about the exact amount of funds that are being released to various sugar mills, Sh. Kaushal said that Rs 34.50 crore have been released to the Panipat cooperative sugar mill, while Rs 14.60 crore has been released to Rohtak cooperative sugar mill, Rs. 36 crore has been released to Karnal cooperative sugar mill and Rs 33.30 crore has been released to Sonipat cooperative sugar mill. He said that an amount of Rs.32.70 crore has been released to Shahbad Cooperative sugar mill, Rs.20.60 crore to Jind cooperative sugar mill, Rs.33.50 crore to Palwal cooperative sugar mill, Rs.48 crore to Meham cooperative sugar mill, Rs.31.80 crore to Kaithal cooperative sugar mill and Rs.30 crore to Gohana cooperative sugar mill.
