Chandigarh, August 6- Haryana Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij today conducted a surprise inspection of Sector-5 Police Station in Panchkula and ordered the suspension of four police personnel on the spot for dereliction of duty. The four police personnel who have been suspended include Police Station In-charge (SHO) Lalit Kumar, Munshi Dimple, Night Munshi Ajay and Police Inspector Mandeep.

         Besides this, Sh. Vij also ordered registration of FIR against another complainant.

After a surprise inspection, Sh. Vij while interacting with the mediapersons said that many cases have been received from the police station wherein the complaint has not been registered by the munshi. Apart from this, similar complaints have also been found from the night munshi wherein the munshi was without uniform at the police station, who have been suspended.

He said that fake currency has also been found from this police station, which the bank has deposited in the police station and this case has not been registered for a long time. Apart from this, many complaints have been found from the office of the In-charge of Police Station (SHO) on which no action has been taken. Therefore, he has suspended the station in-charge (SHO), Munshi and Night Munshi.

Sh. Vij said that in this police station no information with regard to leaving and arrival of any employee is maintained. He said that it is also surprising that there is no guard in this police station.

The Home Minister said that “I have sought Action-Taken Report of FIR for one month. Sh. Vij said that apart from this, “I and Commissioner of Police, Panchkula have also sought information about 143 FIRs, which have not been investigated or processed, and then it was informed verbally that the search has been done in this regard. But what action was taken with regard to the FIR and how many people were arrested, including cases involving heinous crimes, harassment, intimidation, etc., such offenses, which are pending for months and on which no action has been taken have been sought.

Sh. Vij said that “I have also ordered to register an FIR against one of the complainants. This person is taking undue advantage of the police by leveling serious allegations. He said that in respect of many such cases, orders have been given to the Commissioner of Police and DCP to register FIR.

Responding to a question regarding the consumption of poison by the Home Guard jawan, he said that he has ordered immediate action against the FIR lodged by the Home Guard jawan.
