Chandigarh, July 31: The Dial 112 service started in Haryana to maintain law and order and help the needy has started yielding positive results.
A woman who reached the border of Fatehabad district after walking from Rajasthan has been safely sent back to her family members by the police personnel deputed in Dial 112 car.
The family members of the woman thanked the Fatehabad Police for their timely intervention and safely sending the woman to her home.
Sharing more information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that a woman from village Mehrana in Rajasthan adjoining Bhattu Kalan area of the Fatheabad district lost her way and reached village Mehuwala.
When this woman was found sitting alone in the village, the villagers started asking her whereabouts and when she failed to share the said information, they immediately informed about her on dial 112.
As soon as the information was received, the vehicle of Dial 112 reached the spot. Police personnel tried asking the woman about her residence but were not able to get any authentic information but after consistent efforts finally, it was revealed that the woman was from Mehrana’s village. After this, Fatehabad Police contacted Rajasthan Police and the woman was safely handed over to her family members.
