The Essence of Virtual World’ was organized by J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad today

Chandigarh, August 1 – With a view to provide an appropriate platform to hone the talent and intellectual skills of the students online Techno-Digital festival titled ‘Digi-Fiesta 2021: The Essence of Virtual World’ was organized by J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad today.

Sharing information in this regard an official spokesperson of the University said that more than 6,000 students from 60 educational institutions from 10 states across the country had participated in the event.

He informed that the festival was inaugurated by Director General of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt. of India, Dr. Omkar Rai while the session was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar.

In his address, Dr. Omkar Rai energized and inspired the students to work hard and think creatively in order to make the country digitally and technologically enabled. He appreciated the entrepreneurial efforts made by young minds of India during the COVID trauma and also apprised the audience with digital initiatives of the government like secured biometric system, BHIM app, e-market etc.

Speaking on this occasion, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Kumar said that events like these provide participants with the opportunity to learn more digital ways for dealing with Pandemic-like scenarios and strengthen the belief that students possess enormous talent and intellectual acumen, and that they will shape the future of the digital world, he added. He said that working in line with the direction of Digital India campaign of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, the University is regularly conducting such digital events and techno-digital fest are also a part of this chain.
