New transmission line developed for smooth supply of electricity – PK DAS

Chandigarh, September 8: Additional Chief Secretary, Power Department,  Haryana, Sh. P.K. Das informed that during the period from April 2021 to August 2021, HVPNL added 4 new substations and  36 substations augmented by adding 793 MVA capacity and about 50 KMs transmission lines have also been erected in the Transmission System at an expenditure of about Rs.188 Crore.

He informed that DISCOMs have also added 26 new 33 kV substations and augmented 16 substations and about 235 KMs new lines have been erected at an expenditure of about Rs.119 Crore.

Sh. P.K. Das, further informed that for achieving the objective of 24×7 power, adequate intrastate transmission and distribution system has been developed to ensure the quality supply of power in the whole State.

The work of about Rs.373 Crore for constructing new substations (66 KV and above) and transmission lines has been awarded by HVPNL and the work of about Rs.103 Crore for constructing new substations (33 KV) and lines has been awarded by DISCOMs during the period April-21 to August-21, he added.

          He said that for the FY 2021-22, HERC has approved outlay of Rs. 925 Crore of capital expenditure for creation of new transmission infrastructure by HVPNL and Rs. 950 Crore for UHBVNL and  Rs. 1125 Crore for DHBVNL for strengthening the distribution system.
