Chandigarh, August 15: The 75th Independence Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm across Haryana today. Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatreya hoisted the National flag in Gurugram, whereas the Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal hoisted the National flag in Faridabad. Besides this, Ministers and officials also attended the Independence Day celebrations organized in different parts of the state as Chief Guests and commemorated the martyrs by hoisting the flag.
Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala attended the district level Independence Day function organized at Narnaul as the Chief Guest. Congratulating the people on the auspicious Amrit Mahotsav after hoisting the flag, he said that 75 years ago country’s freedom fighters did a glorious job of making this country an independent nation. In this long journey of 75 years, India has seen big changes, he added.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that Haryana is the holy land whose people have made supreme sacrifices in the independence struggle of the country. If we look at history, then the first British ruler had to move back from the land of Ahirwal. Even before the cantonment of Meerut, Rao Tularam’s army had forced the British rule to move back, added Sh. Dushyant Chautala.
Saluting all the known and unknown martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom of the country, he said that today is also the day to pay homage to those brave hearts who after independence have sacrificed their lives for maintaining the unity and integrity of the country and for ensuring safety on the borders.
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker hoists flag at Karnal
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Sh. Gian Chand Gupta hoisted the flag on the occasion of 75th district level Independence Day celebrations held at Karnal and inspected the parade and took salute of the march past. He saluted the brave sons of Mother India who sacrificed their lives for freedom and the martyrs who laid down their lives while protecting the motherland even after independence.
Divulging the details about on the work done by both Central and State Government in the national interest, Sh. Gupta said that many historic decisions were taken in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal. Progressive work has been done in the interest of everyone be it traders or farmers.
He informed that the new National Education Policy has been implemented in the country to provide education with values and employment, it will be completely implemented by the year 2025. Haryana have started the Super-100 programme for the youth to remain in frontline for competitive examinations.
Home Minister hoists flag at Ambala
Haryana Home and Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, while addressing the people of the district on the occasion of 75th Independence Day programme held at Ambala, said that great freedom fighters have sacrificed everything to get freedom. On May 8, 1857, the first spark of the freedom movement erupted from Ambala.
In Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s ‘Azad Hind Fauj’, the maximum number of soldiers were from Haryana. Even today, on average, every tenth soldier in the Indian Army is from Haryana, added Sh. Anil Vij.
He said that the heroes of Haryana have played a significant role in protecting the borders of the country even after independence. We are proud that today every tenth soldier in the country’s army is from Haryana. Our soldiers have set a new example of valor during the foreign invasions of 1962, 1965, 1971 and Operation Kargil War, said the Home Minister.
Education Minister hoists flag at Charkhi Dadri
Haryana Education Minister, Sh. Kanwarpal while addressing the gathering on 75th Independence Day celebrations held at Charkhi Dadri said that innumerable heroes of this country have sacrificed their lives to liberate India. We must not let their sacrifice go in vain. we should come forward to work for the progress of the Nation with determination, so that India’s name always remains at the top on the world map. He said that Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi has transformed India into a strong nation. Today the entire world looks at India with utmost respect.
He said that the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has also taken many concrete decisions for social and economic development from Haryana. Haryana is the first state in the country, where 11 crops are purchased at the Government Minimum Support Price.
The Education Minister said that the State Government is preparing K.G to P.G education system. The facility of onetime registration has been started so that the youth do not have to apply again and again for government jobs.
Transport Minister hoists flag at Palwal
Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma while hoisting the flag as the Chief Guest in Palwal gave his message to the people of the district and said that the Tricolor is a symbol of our freedom, self-respect and struggle.
He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, effective steps are being taken for bringing in system change and good governance. This year is being observed as ‘Good Governance Year’. Now through Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme, the benefits of all government services and schemes will be made available at the doorsteps of the common man.
Similarly, the state government has started many schemes for the benefit of the farmers. Stamp duty exemption has been given to farmers in exchange of agricultural land. In Haryana, 11 crops are being purchased at the Minimum Support Price. To ensure easy sale of crops and to provide subsidy, fertilizers, seeds and loans to the farmer, ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora Portal’ has been started, added Sh. Mool Chand Sharma.
Power Minister hoist flag at Fatehabad
Power, Jail, New and Renewable Energy Minister, Sh. Ranjit Singh paid homage to the martyrs by paying floral tributes at the Martyrs Memorial at the Police Lines premises before taking the salute of the parade after hoisting the flag at Fatehabad.
He said that both Central and State Governments are moving ahead by realizing the slogan ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the government has made efforts to break the infection chain with better management.
The State Government has worked in excellent coordination with the District Administration to save people from COVID-19 . He said that the government has also given financial assistance to the families who lost their lives due to this Pandemic, added Power Minister.
The Power Minister said that the power system in the state has been improved. For the first time, Discoms have comfortably shifted from losses to profit-earning position. Haryana ranks second in power sector development in the national rating. Giving relief to the consumers, the Chief Minister has also announced to make electricity 37 paise per unit of cheaper, added Sh. Ranjit Singh.
Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister hoists flag at Panchkula
Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. JP Dalal hoisted the flag as the chief guest at the district level Independence Day programme organized at Panchkula on the occasion of 75th Independence Day. He extending warm greetings and good wishes to everyone on the occasion of Independence Day, he said that the interest of the farmers is paramount. It is our endeavour to help the farmers at every step in the farming process. Not only this, we are also providing various cash benefits to encourage the farmers. Recently, the government has given relief in stamp duty, giving relief to the farmers in exchange for agricultural land. Now only Rs. 5000 will be charged per deed, earlier it used to attract 7 percent registration fee. Along with providing quality seeds to the farmer, the risk of natural calamity has been eliminated by providing crop insurance and crop compensation.
Co-operation Minister hoists flag at Panipat
Co-operation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal hoisted the flag and inspected the parade at the district level programme on the occasion of 75th Independence Day celebrations organized at Shivaji Stadium in Panipat. In his address, the Co-operation Minister while conveying his warm greetings and best wishes to everyone on the auspicious occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav said that he was feeling very proud to hoist the national flag on this occasion. The national flag is a symbol of our freedom, self-respect and struggle. For this, our freedom fighters fought for nine decades against British rule, suffered unbearable tortures, laughingly kissed the noose and sacrificed their lives. He said that we are proud that the brave soldiers of Haryana have also played a leading role in the freedom movement of the country.
Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment hoists flag at Jagadhri
Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sh. O.P Yadav, after hoisting the flag at Jagadhri said that ‘Mukhyamantri Antyodaya Parivar Utthan Yojana’ has been started to help the poorest people in the state first. Under this, first one lakh families will be helped. So far 30,000 families have been identified. In Haryana, the annual income limit of the poverty line has been fixed from Rs 1.2 lakh to Rs 1.8 lakh so that maximum number of families gets the benefit of poor welfare schemes. ‘Mukhyamantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana’ is being run to provide annual assistance of Rs. 6000 to such families.
Sh. Yadav said that recently it has been decided to form Haryana Skill Employment Corporation to stop contracting services related to outsourcing. Similarly, approval has been given to set up a human resource department to deal with all the problems of the employees. Dial-112 service has been started for timely help to every citizen at the time of any crisis.
Woman and Child Development Minister hoists fag at Jhajjar
Woman and Child Development Minister, Smt. Kamlesh Dhanda hoisted the national flag as the Chief Guest at Jhajjar on the occasion of 75th Independence Day celebrations. While inspecting the parade, Smt. Dhanda took the salute of the march past. Earlier, the chief guest of the function saluted the martyrs at the martyr memorial. The Woman and Child Development Minister said that today we are celebrating the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Referring to the working style of various Prime Ministers, she said that the whole world is now acknowledging the leadership of the Prime Minister of the country, Sh. Narendra Modi. Revolutionary changes are visible in the country today under his leadership.
Minister of State for Archeology and Museums hoists fag at Rewari
Minister of State for Archeology and Museums, Sh. Anoop Dhanak hoisted the national flag as the Chief Guest at Rao Tularam Stadium in Rewari and took the salute of the parade. On this occasion, the Minister of State for Archeology and Museums said that today we are celebrating our 75th Independence Day. Paying homage to the Ranbankurs who gave freedom to the country, he said that I am feeling proud by hoisting the National Flag on the auspicious occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Referring to the progress made in the country after independence, he explained in detail the development works done by the present central government. He said that many such bold decisions of the present government have given impetus to the creation of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ to ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ to Navbharat and now Atmanirbhar India’ from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs hoist flag at Nuh
Minister of State for Sports and Youth Affairs, Sh. Sandeep Singh greeted the residents as the Chief Guest during the Azadi ka Amrit by hoisting the flag at Nuh. He took the salute of the grand march past in the ceremony and honored the freedom fighters and war heroes.
Giving detailed information about the policies of the Central and State Governments, the Sports Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, new dimensions of progress have been established in the state. Expressing happiness over the achievements made by the athletes of the state in Tokyo Olympics, he said that state’s athlete Neeraj Chopra won gold medal, wrestler Ravi Dahiya won silver and Bajrang Punia made the country and state proud bywinning bronze medal.
Two athletes Surendra Kumar and Sumit Kumar who won bronze medal in hockey are from Haryana and nine athletes in the women’s hockey team are from Haryana, have illuminated the name of the country. Haryana is the first state in the country to give maximum cash prizes to the medal winners. Haryana will also host ‘Khelo India’ competitions for the first time. To ensure employment for the sportspersons, 550 new posts have been created in the sports department.
