The notification shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from June 14, 2021

Chandigarh, June 28: Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has accorded approval for the notification related to the reduction of GST rates of goods and services relating to COVID-19 treatment and management as recommended by the GST Council in its 44th meeting held on 12 June 2021. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force with effect from June 14, 2021 and shall remain in force upto and inclusive of September 30, 2021.
Sharing more details in this regard an official spokesperson said that as per the notification the GST rates on two medicines namely Tocilizumab and Amphotericin B would be removed/ fully exempted.
The spokesman said that the GST at the rate of 2.5 percent shall be levied on 15 other items used in COVID treatment such as Medical Grade Oxygen, Remdesivir, Heparin (Anti-Coagulants), COVID Testing Kits, Inflammatory Diagnostic (marker) Kits, namely D-Dimer, IL-6, CRP(C-reactive protein), LDH, Ferritin, Pro Calcitonin (PCT) and blood gas reagents, Hand Sanitizer, Helmet for use with non-invasive ventilation, Gas/Electric/other furnaces for crematorium, Pulse Oximeters, High flow nasal canula (HFNC) device, Oxygen Concentrator/ Generator, Ventilators, BiPAP Machine, non-invasive ventilation nasal or oronasal masks for ICU ventilators, Temperature check equipment while the GST rates of ambulances have been fixed at 6 percent.
