Cases under NSA registered against 20 people for black marketing remdesivir injections

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has said that strict action is being taken against the black marketing of remdesivir injection required for the treatment of the Covid-19 epidemic and those who disrupt the supply of oxygen. Cases of National Security Act have been registered against 20 people involved in black marketing of Remdesivir injection and one person on black marketing of oxygen. No guilty person will be spared.
Cases under National Security Act have been registered against 9 people in Indore district, 8 people in Ujjain district, 2 people in Jabalpur district, and one person in Gwalior district on the black marketing of Remdesivir injection. Similarly, a case under NSA has been registered against a person on black marketing of oxygen.
Action against 61 health institutions/individuals
Action has also been taken against 61 health institutions/individuals for charging higher fees from Corona patients. An amount of 7 lakh 34 thousand rupees has been returned from them to the families of the patients. Out of these, licenses of two institutions have been revoked and FIRs have been registered against 22 people.
More amount recovered by the hospital was returned to the relatives
In Bhopal district 2 lakh 8 thousand in 9 cases, 1 lakh 10 thousand in 3 cases in Jabalpur district, 1 lakh 15 thousand in 18 cases in Gwalior district, 53 thousand in 2 cases in Betul district, and 25 thousand rupees have been recovered to the relatives of the patient in one case in Harda district by the hospitals.. Similarly, FIRs have been registered against 3 people in Bhopal district, 7 in Indore district, 3 in Jabalpur, 3 in Gwalior, 2 in Ujjain, 1-1 person in Vidisha, Shajapur, Sagar, and Guna districts.
Instructions have been issued to all drug inspectors of the state for black marketing and illegal sale. Constant inspections are being done by drug inspectors. All efforts are being made to sell the life-saving medicines under MRP which will effectively control sales and black marketing. The supply and distribution of remdesivir injections are being continuously monitored. Arrangements have been made to distribute Remdesivir injections only in hospitals and institutions so that injections can be made available easily to the patients admitted to the hospitals.
