Chief Minister plants Triveni saplings on KLP College campus
Chandigarh, July 28- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal gave the message of environmental protection to the people by planting saplings in the premises of KLP College, Rewari on the occasion of World Nature Conservation Day.
Along with the Chief Minister, Cooperation Minister Dr. Banwari Lal and MLA, Kosli, Sh. Laxman Singh Yadav also planted Triveni.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that trees are a part of our life. They are a priceless gift given by God in the form of nature. Not only this, trees and plants transmit positive energy in our life.
He said that when the balance of nature gets disturbed then various kinds of calamities occur. To maintain the balance between nature, we have to plant more and more fruit-bearing plants and plants that give shade. Emphasizing the importance of trees, he said that since ancient times, trees and plants have held great importance. Lord Buddha attained enlightenment under a Bodhi tree, Lord Krishna preached the Gita to Arjuna under a Banyan tree in Kurukshetra.
The Chief Minister said that e-Paudhashala App has also been launched in the state, through which any person can take a plant of his choice from the nursery sitting at home. Apart from this, geo-tagging of plants will also be done. He said that students are being given incentives for planting and taking care of saplings so that children can develop an inclination towards plantation. He said that this time a target has been set to plant 3 crore saplings in the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Banwari Lal said that to make the environment pure and to keep the environment green, we must plant trees so that pure oxygen remains abundant. He said that it is very important to have trees and plants to maintain environmental balance, so we all must plant at least one sapling.
Dr Banwari Lal further said that 10 lakh saplings would be planted to promote greenery in the district, the work of which has been started, in which 8 lakh saplings are being planted by the Forest Department and 2 lakh saplings will be planted by HSIIDC Bawal and HSVP.
On this occasion, Chairman, HARCO Bank, Sh. Arvind Yadav, former Minister, Sh. Bikram Singh Yadav, Chairperson, Municipal Council, Ms. Poonam Yadav, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Yashendra Singh and other officers were present.
