Chandigarh, September 14: Haryana has adequate production storage capacity of Liquid and Medical Oxygen and adequate arrangements have been made by the State so as to ensure that there is no shortage of Oxygen in both government and private hospitals of the State.
Additional Chief Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Mr. Rajeev Arora gave this assurance during a video conference organized by Government of India held here today. The conference was held with States to ensure availability of Oxygen for treatment of COVID patients.

Divulging details about availability of oxygen, Mr. Arora said that Haryana has adequate production storage capacity of Liquid and Medical Oxygen.
He said that the State has four Air Separation Units namely Air Liquide Panipat having capacity of around 240 MT , Jindal Steels Hisar having a capacity of 6.8 MT, Gupta Gases having a capacity of 3.0 MT and Gupta Industrial Gases having a capacity of 2.5 MT.
He further informed that Haryana also has eight Medical oxygen fillers to fill Medical Oxygen in D Type and B Type Cylinders and this oxygen is being supplied to Hospitals and Medical Colleges.
“License have also been issued to Industrial Oxygen fillers for manufacturing of Medical Oxygen. Hospitals in Haryana have 29 Cryogenic Tanks for Medical Liquid Oxygen and four have been installed recently in COVID-19 period during last three months,” shared Mr. Rajeev Arora.
He said that there are a total 62 Tankers registered in Haryana for transportation of Liquid Oxygen. Almost all Hospitals have manifolds and regulators for smooth oxygen supply to patients, he added.
Mr. Rajeev Arora said that rates for treatment of COVID-19 patients in Private Hospitals have already been fixed by the State Government. Besides this, Health Department is also ensuring its compliance.
No case of hoarding and black marketing of Oxygen is reported in Haryana and any case of black marketing will be dealt with strongly, he said.
Mr. Arora assured the Government of India that there will be no shortage of Oxygen in the State.
