Chandigarh, October 31 – To prevent surge of COVID-19 cases in the upcoming festive season, Haryana Health Department has directed all the Civil Surgeons of the State to organise COVID-19 sampling camps across the state over the next two weeks.
Sharing details in this regard Director General Health Services Haryana, Dr. Suraj Bhan Kamboj said that in view of the upcoming festive season, it is directed to enhance the COVID-19 testing across the State to prevent the surge of COVID-19 cases. He further added that RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen COVID-19 sampling camps will be held over next two weeks, at pre-designated places in the districts especially the slums, far flung, crowded areas which are more vulnerable to spread of disease.
Elaborating on it further he said that the camps must be organised in campaign mode. Furthermore, strict compliance of wearing face masks must be ensured besides which efforts should be made to spread awareness of the disease through IEC and direct counselling.
It is also directed to ensure that all the precautions for prevention of spread of disease, such as PPE Kits, social distancing, hand hygiene etc should be adhered to in the camps and any laxity in this regard will be strictly viewed, he added.
