As per the directions of Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, ESI has decided to provide its medical and para-medical staff to the Health Department

Chandigarh, May 14- As per the directions of Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala, ESI has decided to provide its medical and para-medical staff to the Health Department in order to control the Covid-19 pandemic with mutual cooperation.  This medical staff will be on deputation to the Health Department till further orders to assist in the treatment of covid patients in the 500 bed Covid Hospitals being constructed in Panipat and Hisar.

         While giving information in this regard Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak said that all the departments of the state government are working in coordination to control the ground situation caused by Corona pandemic.  In the present circumstances, there is a dire need for medical and para-medical staff in the health department, as their responsibility for treatment of corona patients has extensively increased due to exponential surge in the Covid cases. In such a situation, the Labour Department has decided to send medical officers, pharmacists, lab technicians, MPHW (F), MPHS etc. staff working in their ESI Hospitals on deputation to the Health Department.  These include 136 Medical Officers, 88 Pharmacists, 26 MPHS (F), 17 Lab Technicians, 40 MPHW (F).

         Sh. Anoop Dhanak informed that the staff of about 300 medical and para-medical staff will continue to serve on deputation to the Health Department till further orders.
