Chandigarh, May 4 – Haryana Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that it will be mandatory to carry departmental I-cards or government issued passes for any traffic movement during the ongoing lockdown in the state. Strict action should be taken against those who are commuting without them.

Sh. Vij said this in a meeting of senior officers of the Police Department here today. He elaborated that the Deputy Commissioners have been asked to make online traffic passes. Therefore, people should not leave their homes unnecessarily and those who are permitted to commute during the lockdown will also have to carry a pass or I-card.

The Home Minister has directed to make a roster for grocery stores, pharmacy shops and other essential items in the state. All such shops should not be allowed to be opened every day, but should be opened on rotation basis. Along with this, the rules issued by the government should be adhered to and hotels, gyms, clubs and restaurants etc. should be completely closed.
