Haryana secured first position in the country with 100% marks in CCTNS system

Chandigarh, July 30- Haryana Home Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that Haryana has secured first position in Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) system with 100% marks in the country.

Sh. Anil Vij congratulated Additional Director General of Police, (Telecom & IT) Shri A.S. Chawla, as well as the police department for this achievement.

It is noteworthy that this system was implemented by the Union Home Ministry in the entire country to curtail the incidence of crime and under this system the police in the states had to upgrade the systems to latest technology under certain parameters. Haryana Police has secured the first position in the country under this system for the first time with 100% marks, while Gujarat has secured the second position with 99.9 percent marks and Himachal Pradesh has secured the third position with 99.6 percent marks.

Sharing more details in this regard, Additional Director General of Police, (Telecom and IT) Sh. A.S.  Chawla informed that this system has been integrated with the Pragati Dashboard which is reviewed at regular intervals by the Prime Minister.  He said that under this system, Haryana got 100 percent marks with regard to the connection of police stations, installation of complete hardware in police stations, establishment and operation of disaster recovery, capacity building, technical establishment, data bank services, etc.

According to Sh. Chawla, Haryana had consistently maintained its position at the third position in the CCTNS system for the last five months and now this time Haryana has been ranked first.
