The Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh had decided to provide financial assistance to registered construction workers with COVID history. Now the District Administration has started registration and submission of online form for this scheme through Sewa Kendra.
Talking about the scheme, the Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan said that construction workers who had tested COVID positive or whose immediate member had tested positive and had to be quarantined, are eligible for this. He said that this service would be available through e-Sewa Punjab portal at the Sewa Kendra and only Rs. 10 would be charged as Facilitations charges.
Mr. Dayalan informed that to avail the benefit, the worker registered with the labor department, has to go to his nearest Sewa Kendra, where he has to submit his application online along with required documents. No physical or manual application will be accepted. The Deputy Commissioner stated that this service would be available at all the Sewa Kendras in the district.
