PEOPLE GET RELIEF WITH COMPLAINTS BEING RESOLVED IN TIME BOUND MANNER

SEHNA RESIDENT JAGROOP SINGH’S ISSUE PENDING FOR LAST 15 YEARS RESOLVED IN 10 DAYS

On directions of Chief Minister Punjab S Bhagwant Singh Mann, Chief Minister Window was established in the district enabling citizens to directly get in touch with the office of Chief Minister for their works. The CM Window operating on the ground floor of District Administrative Complex in Barnala is proving to be a boon for the area residents. People are able to get their issues resolved in a time bound and satisfactory manner.

Deputy Commissioner Barnala Ms Punamdeep Kaur stated that the CM Window was set up in district Barnala in June 2024 enabling people o have a direct access to the Chief Minister’s Office so that their issues could be resolved speedily and without any harassment.

One of the complainants Jagroop Singh, a resident of Sehna area said that he his matter had been pending for the last 15 years. However, once he approached the CM Window for help, it was resolved within 10 days. Giving details he said that a stay order had been entered into the jamabandi of his land record. This was not deleted despite the orders of court in year 2008. Regarding this he had given applications at various places over the last15 years but to no avail. On Nov 26, 2024 he gave an application at CM Window and his mater was resolved within 10 days. He thanked the Punjab government for it.

Now people need not visit head quarters of different departments at Chandigarh to get their works done. The applications received at CM window are uploaded on the https://connect.punjab.gov.in/ portal from where its further marked to concerned department. Besides this the matters related to district level offices are also resolved on priority basis and people are guided to their intended works.

She said that so far 357 applications have been received at the CM window of which 317 (88 percent) have been resolved in a timely manner. These include 114 applications related to home affairs department, 79 pertaining to revenue dept, 44 related to rural development, 6 related to water resources, 17 related to local bodies, 9 each related to power department, cooperative and transport department, 2 related to agriculture dept, 5 related to education, 56 related to food and civil supplies, one each related to health and water supply and sanitation department were received.

She added that timely redressal of complaint is ensured. Presently, around 40 applications are pending, which were received few days ago and have been forwarded to concerned departments.
