Chief Minister Shri Chouhan planted Saptaparni and Pink Cassia saplings in Smart Garden

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted Saptaparni and Pink Cassia saplings in Smart Garden. The members of the Osk organisation also planted saplings along with the Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. The members of the organisation, Shri Ravindra Dangi, Abhi Sharma and Animesh Jain were present.

The Osk organisation is running a special campaign to stop the use of plastic along with plantation and to protect the environment that is getting polluted. In the campaign, along with planting saplings in many cities of the state, their safety has also been ensured. So far, more than 17 thousand saplings are thriving, which have been planted in Guna, Bhopal, Sehore and Rajgarh.

The organisation has made the youth aware of the environment by holding activities like street plays, rallies, seminars, debates etc. at various places in the city and has increased awareness by giving the message of not using polythene in public places through street plays.

With the desire to reduce the carbon footprint and work on clean and pure water and air, the members of the organisation are starting the Green Revolution. The youth also recited a song inspiring to protect the environment.

Saptaparni

Saptparni is an evergreen medicinal tree, which has great importance in Ayurveda. It is used in the manufacture of various medicines.Cassia is also called wild cinnamon in India. The bark and leaves of Cassia javanica are used in the preparation of Ayurvedic medicines.
