Will make more services related to rural areas of Haryana online so that the dream of rural empowerment can be fulfilled

Chandigarh, June 4 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that by August 15, 2021, services concerning development and empowerment of rural areas of Haryana will be made online so that the goal of rural empowerment can be fulfilled at the accelerated pace, whereas at present 370 services of 27 departments are already being made available online by the State Government.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the charge of Rural Development and Panchayat Department, said through the video conferencing in a program organized by the Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj today.

        On this occasion, Union Minister of Panchayati Raj, Sh. Narendra Singh Tomar from New Delhi released the online e-book of ‘Citizen’s Charter for Panchayat’.

During the video conferencing, Additional Chief Secretary, Panchayat Department, Sh. Amit Jha, Director, Sh. RC Bidhan, OSD to Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Kamlesh Bhadoo and other senior officers were present at Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh.

Appreciating the Citizen Charter launched by the Central Government, Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that this would bring accountability and transparency in the works of the Panchayat Department.  Apart from this, there will be enhancement in the quality of rural development works.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that Haryana State is already working towards implementation of Citizen’s Charter.  Most of the services have been made online by the State Government.  He said that in the coming one year, the Panchayat Department would be completely digitized by the Haryana Government.  The state govenrment is training from Sarpanch to members of Block Committee and Zilla Parishad so that beneficiaries can learn to use Government Services through Online platform.

On this occasion, the Central Government praised the work initiated by the State Government towards empowering and strengthening of Panchayat Department.
