LAUNCH AWARENESS DRIVE TO ENSURE MAXIMUM PARTICIPATION OF YOUTH IN SEVENTH STATE LEVEL JOB FAIRS FROM SEPTEMBER 9 TO 17- ADC AMIT KUMAR PANCHAL TO NYK

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Amit Kumar Panchal on Friday directed the Nehru Yuva Kendra and its 232 associated youth clubs in Ludhiana to launch a mass awareness campaign for ensuring maximum participation of rural youth in the upcoming seventh state level job fairs to be held from September 9 to 17 under Ghar-Ghar Rozgar Mission of Punjab Government.
Interacting with the youth clubs during the meeting of District Advisory Committee on Youth Programs, Panchal said that around 17000 jobs would be offered to the youth and more than 200 employers would take part in these fairs. He told that on September 9, first fair would be organized on Government ITI Gill road, second on September 13 in Gulzar Group of Institutes, Khanna, third on September 15 SRS Government Polytechnic College of Girls and last fair would be held at September 17 in CICU Focal Point.
Additional Deputy Commissioner further added that the district administration would tap the energy of 2300 volunteers associated with youth clubs with NYK to provide job every unemployed youth of the Ludhiana. He said that the volunteers of these youth club must publicize about job fairs so that more and more youth can participate and get gainful employment.
He told that the unemployed youth who are matric pass, 10+2, ITI, diploma holders, Graduates or post graduates must participate in these job fairs and also called upon the youth to register them on www.pgrkam.com for more jobs.
District Coordinator Rashmeet Kaur said that NYK was established in 1987 with an objective of providing a platform to non-student rural Youth to take part in nation building activities. She also detailed about upcoming events of the Nehru Yuva Kendra.
