317 dependents of martyred soldiers have been provided jobs on compassionate grounds:- Om Prakash Yadav
Chandigarh, July 28- Haryana Minister of State for Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare, Mr. Om Prakash Yadav said that since October 2014, 317 dependents of martyred soldiers have been provided jobs on compassionate grounds.
Mr. Yadav said that Haryana is a land of warriors and every tenth soldier serving at the border is from Haryana. The youth of the State is passionate to protect the Country. He said that the families of such soldiers of the State who have been martyred while protecting the country borders get financial aid of Rs. 50 lakh by the State Government. He said that after training of the Commissioned Officers in the army, financial assistance of Rs 1 lakh is given to them.
The financial assistance to ex-servicemen and widows of World War II has been increased to Rs. 10,000 per month from November 1, 2017. The amount of annual scholarship to Haryana students studying in Indian Military Academy, Dehradun has been increased to Rs. 50,000 per year, per student from April 1, 2017.
The Minister said that with the completion of the construction of the first phase of Sainik School Rewari, 60 percent work of the second phase has also been completed. Soon, the school will be shifted to the new building. Besides this, the construction work of Sainik School at Matanhail in district Jhajjar will start soon.
