The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 349375 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on sixth day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 349375 MT procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 349095 MT of wheat 280 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtias).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 71738 metric tonnes, MARKFED 92335 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 76698 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 55171 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 27465 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 25688 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 1128790 MT.
