19000 CANDIDATES TO APPEAR FOR EXAM IN LUDHIANA-DEPUTY COMMISSIONER

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Thursday said that district administration has made elaborate arrangements for smooth conduct of the written examination for the recruitment for 1152 posts of Revenue Patwaris, Ziledars and Irrigation Patwaris on August 8.
Presiding over a meeting, the Deputy Commissioner along with Joint CP J Elanchezhian, said that the administration has made 36 centres to ensure social distancing and safety of 19000 candidates who would sit in the exam.
He said that Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Rahul Chaba would be nodal officer for examination and would ensure exam to be held in proper fair and transparent manner. He said that administration has divided 36 centres into seven sectors, and each sector would be supervised by a SDM and also deputed Tehsildars and Naib-Tehsildars as Observers at each examination centre.
He asked the officers to take all measures to ensure strict adherence of Covid-apt behaviour by the candidates during the exam.
Deputy Commissioner also asked the police department for proper security arrangements inside and outside the centres. He said that the exam would be held from 11 am to 1 pm and around 2, 34,000 applicants have applied for the 1152 posts in the state.
