13 COMPANIES PARTICIPATE IN JOB FAIR, 454 YOUTHS TAKE PART

As many as 372 unemployed youth today got job placements during two Job Fairs organized at the office of BDPO offices Rurka Kalan and Lohian Khas.
Divulging the details, Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori said that 454 unemployed youth took part in both the camps.
A total of 13 companies including Pukhraj Heath Care, Rank Step, Placemeds, Star Health Insurance, Airtel/Phone Pay/ SBI Credits, Agile, A-One International, SIS Securities, Health Herbal, Pukhraj Health, LIC of India, SBI Life Insurance, NIIT Ltd participated in the job fairs during which 372 unemployed youth got on spot placement placements.
The deputy commissioner mentioned that such Job Fairs have been scheduled for the whole month of September during which avenues of employment would be offered to participants.
The Deputy Commissioner said that these Job fairs were acting as a catalyst to transform the destiny of the youth.
He said that the youth who have got jobs during the fair would become an active partner in the socio-economic growth of the state.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the job fairs were, in fact, a first of its kind initiative of the state government to provide a livelihood to the unemployed youth of the state.
He added all Covid protocols including social distancing and masking were strictly followed during the job fair. The Deputy Commissioner further said that the selection of the youth for jobs would be made purely on merit through a fair and transparent system.
Thori said that besides regular placement camps, a mega job fair was going to be organized soon. He added that on September 9, Job fair would be held at Guru Nanak College Nakodar, on September 10 at District Bureau of Employment and Enterprise, Jalandhar, on September 13 at CT Group of Institute Shahpur, on September 15 at Janta College Kartarpur, and on September 17 at BDPO office Bhogpur.
