90 new cases reported in UT Ladak and 32 recover and discharged

Leh, Aug 25: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh, total 90 persons were tested positive for COVID-19. Out of the total positive reports, CMO Leh received 64 positive reports while CMO Kargil received 26 positive reports. With the death of one more patient from Covid-19 in Leh district, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has gone up to 24; 08 in Leh and 16 in Kargil district.

The bulletin further details that seven patients from Facility Isolation, one from Covid Hospital, seven patients from Home Isolation and nine from Covid Care Centre Leh were discharged today after their negative sample reports were received by CMO Leh yesterday.

Similarly, one patient from Covid Hospital and seven patients from Covid Care Centre at Kirgil were discharged today after the negative sample reports were received by CMO Kargil yesterday.

With this, the number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 847; 535 in Leh district and 312 in Kargil district and that the condition of all 847 active cases of COVID-19 in UT Ladakh is stable. 296 more samples were sent to PGIMER Chandigarh for testing today. Out of the total samples, 119 samples were sent by CMO Leh and 177 samples were sent by CMO Kargil.

Out of 64 positive sample reports received by CMO Leh, 04 positive sample reports were received from PGIMER Chandigarh, 01 from True Nat, 29 Positive sample reports were detected through Rapid Antigen Test and 30 positive sample reports were received from Covid Lab Chuchot.

While, out of 26 positive sample reports received by CMO Kargil, 18 positive sample reports were received from Covid Lab Chuchot, 01 positive sample report was detected through Rapid Antigen Test and 07 positive sample reports were received from PGIMER Chandigarh.

Today 282 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh.
