The Government agencies and private Traders have procured 96,813 metric tonnes of wheat in Punjab on 30th day of procurement.
Disclosing this here today, an official Spokesperson said that out of the total 96,813 procurement from various procurement centres in the State, the Government agencies procured 95793 MT of wheat 1020 MT has been procured by the private traders (arhtyias).
He further said that PUNGRAIN has procured 21071 metric tonnes, MARKFED 24805 metric tonnes and PUNSUP procured 20684 metric tonnes while Punjab State Warehousing Corporation 10783 MT wheat respectively. The Centre government agancy FCI has procured 11496 MT wheat. Apart from this Pungrain Procured 3954 MT wheat for public distribution in the Punjab.
Progressive procurement by all the procuring agency is 121,06911 MT.
