Chandigarh, September 5 – A teacher is the backbone of a country. A teacher plays an important role in laying the foundation of a country. The birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President of the country, is celebrated as Teachers’ Day. Therefore, every teacher should imbibe his ideals in his life. These views were expressed by Prof. Samar Singh, Vice Chancellor, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, in a ceremony organized to honour the teachers of the University on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
Professor Samar Singh said that the post of teacher is very prestigious. Therefore, the teacher should contribute positively in nation building with constructive thinking. He congratulated the teachers of the University and said that even during the ongoing crisis due to the corona pandemic, teachers continued imparting education to students at an uninterrupted pace through online mode. Also, the quality of education was maintained. Professor Samar Singh said that we should express our gratitude to our teachers, due to which we have reached this place today. Teachers have to adopt the latest technologies with the educational and global changes happening daily so as to provide better education to the students in the present environment. Keeping in mind the importance of education, a teacher should be very serious and inculcate such qualities in students so that they become good citizens and contribute to nation building.
