The Postgraduate Department of Hindi at Mehr Chand Mahajan DAV College for Women, Chandigarh celebrated Hindi Diwas with a cultural programme here today. A quiz on Hindi literature was held on this occasion wherein the knowledge of students pertaining to the illustrious world of Hindi literature was put to test. The programme also provided glimpses of the rich cultural diversity of India through presentation of folk songs and folk dances by the students. The students participated enthusiastically in the celebrations.
Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava lauded this initiative of the Hindi Department to promote our national language. Apprising the students of the legacy and historical relevance of Hindi, Dr. Bhargava motivated the students to work towards promotion of Hindi. She also enlightened the students about the career opportunities available in the field of Hindi.
