In order to maintain the stadium and provide basic facilities there, the development and panchayat department of the state has also started preparations by going ahead in collaboration with the sports department.

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala has directed the officers to make the villagers aware of cleanliness by establishing mutual coordination, so that Haryana tops India’s largest cleanliness survey ‘Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2021’. He called upon the CEOs of Zila Parishad, Block and Development Panchayat Officers, Executive Engineers to set goals and get involved in the work. He said that at least one village in each district should be of 5-star level of ‘ODF-plus’ in terms of cleanliness.

The Deputy Chief Minister, who also holds the charge of Development and Panchayats Department, today launched the ‘Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2021’ of the state at Haryana Niwas here. Thereafter he presided over the meeting of the officers.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the district level officers of Development and Panchayats Department should complete the target ahead of time by actively participating in the ‘Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2021’ of the Central Government. He said that arrangements are being made by the state government to clean the dirty water coming out of the village. Make people aware about liquid waste management and solid waste management as well as not to use plastic, which will make the task of cleanliness easier. He said that there would be no shortage of funds for development in the villages.

In this meeting held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister, it was informed that about 17,500 villages in 698 districts of the country will be covered in the ‘Swachh Survekshan Grameen-2021’, out of which 513 villages in Haryana are included. The survey will be conducted by the Central Government through an agency. In the survey, feedback will be taken from the citizens about cleanliness, and the people of the agency will visit the public places of the village, school, panchayat-ghar, Anganwadi etc. to take stock of the cleanliness. The ranking will be prepared only after all the criteria has been met.

In the meeting, Additional Chief Secretary, Development and Panchayats Department, Sh. Amit Jha, Director General, Development and Panchayats, Sh. RC Bidhan and many senior officers of the department were present.
