Opportunities in the new education policy should reach deprived sections

Shri Patel was addressing the fourth governing body meeting of the Dr. BR Ambedkar University of Social Sciences, Mhow at Raj Bhavan today. Members of the Governing Body and Vice Chancellor of the University were present in the meeting.
Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that development of all communities is necessary for the all round development of the state. He said that education is the basis of all round development. For those who have the responsibility of education, it is necessary to have positivity in their thinking and sensitivity in their heart. We all feel proud when a child from our state makes an achievement. Efforts should be made to identify the talents and encourage them. He stressed the need to provide structural strength to the research activities in the University. He urged the university to take initiatives under Corporate Social Responsibility, in coordination with industries, to encourage meritorious students and to seek cooperation in research work.
The Governor was informed that the University had 5 schools at the time of its establishment. Today it has been upgraded to 11. D.Lit course has been started in the university from the year 2020-21 in subjects including Women’s Studies, Education, Library Science, Management, Commerce, Social Sciences. At present 8 candidates are studying in D.Lit. The University has 9 Honorary Chairs. Along with this, two Peeths namely Babu Jagjivan Ram and Dr. Ambedkar have been established by the Central Government and two others Jannayak Tantya Bhil and Veerputra Maharana Pratap have been established by the state government. Intensive work is being done in 5 villages of Mhow region under Atmanirbhar Bharat. The university is active in 12 villages under Beti Bachao.
