Deputy Director deputed to monitor the dengue situation in Sangrur district
Chandigarh, October 26:
Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Om Prakash Soni today directed the top brass of the Health and Family Welfare Department to expedite the fogging activities being carried out to combat dengue.
The MLAs of Sangrur district called on the Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Soni here today and apprised him about the dengue situation in Sangrur district.

Taking immediate action on this he directed the Deputy Director posted in Directorate Health office Chandigarh to monitor the activities being carried out in Sangrur district. He Ordered extensive fogging, cleaning up of accumulated water and speeding up tests on suspected patients.
Mr. Soni also directed the authorities to immediately suspend any officer who neglects the duty imposed by the government to fight dengue.
In this meeting Secretary Health Vikas Garg, MD of Punjab Health System Corporation Amit Kumar, Director Health and Family Welfare Dr. Andesh Kang and Director Health Services Dr. Om Prakash Gojra were present.
