The Dy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk who’s also the elected representative from Diskit Constituency, inaugurated and handed over an additional source of electric power supply to the people of Rongjuk village in the Nubra region today under the Sobhaghya scheme.

As informed by the Dy Chairman, Rongjuk village falls under flood zone and have been affected by flash flood many a time in recent years. Many families have lost their properties in these frequent flash floods. Under his direction, land for relocation was also distributed and allocated to the flood-affected families of Rongjuk village.
SDM Nubra, Lakshay Singhal, Xen PDD, Tundup Spalzang, Tehsildar Diskit, Naib Sarpanch Khardong, Panch Rongjuk and the villagers of Rongjuk were present during the occasion.
The villagers expressed their gratitude and appreciated the step for providing electricity and timely allocation of land to the people of Rongjuk village. The people also raised other grievances to the Dy Chairman to which Dy Chairman Angchuk assured to resolve the grievances soon.
