Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that the proposal/recommendation from the Deputy Commissioner, Gurugram for the formation of Municipal Council by including Municipality Pataudi, Municipality Heli Mandi and six villages namely Rampur, Milkpur, Chawan, Narhera, Janaula and Mirzapur has been received by the Government on December 13, 2021, which is under consideration and appropriate decision will be taken in due course of time.

Sh. Vij was replying to a question raised during the ongoing winter session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
He said that to change the name of any place, the proposal is forwarded by the Municipality and Municipal Council and the Government considers it for changing the name of the place.
He said that the present population of this area is 67,720, which fulfills the criteria of population required to constitute a Municipal Council.
