Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel Visited Temples of Maheshwar

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel visited the historical monuments Ahilyabai Holkar’s throne, Rajarajeshwar temple and Gupteshwar temple at Mandleshwar during his stay at Maheshwar. He had a look at the sari manufacturing work in Rewa Society and discussed with weavers. He boated in Maa Narmada.
Governor Shri Patel inspected the sari manufacturing work in Rewa Society. During this, by interacting directly with the weavers, information was obtained regarding the art of making saris, pricing and their marketing. Kailash Chauhan, a weaver running a loom, told the Governor that a sari is ready in about 8 days. 5 to 18 hundred rupees are received as remuneration for a sari. Weaver Manju Bai Verma told that the more designs are there in the sari, the more time it takes to weave it. On this basis the price of the sari is decided. Leela Bai Bhavsar told about the pattern of saris that Maheshwari sari on the Maharashtrian pattern is bought by most of the tourists. Governor Shri Patel visited other products made by the society on this occasion and got information about them.
Governor Shri Patel garlanded the life-size statue of Maa Ahilyabai located in the fort complex. He understood the darshan rituals of Maa Narmada from the place of the throne of Goddess Ahilyabai. Received information regarding the period of her reign and judicial legislation. He visited and had darshan at the ancient temple of Rajarajeshwara temple, Chhappan Dev temple at Mandleshwar, Gupteshwar Mahadev and Mahadev temples. He offered worship with rituals.
