Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to Maharshi Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji by garlanding his picture in the auditorium of his residence. The Chief Minister also remembered the contribution of Swamiji.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan tweeted that- “It is not wrong to be ignorant, it is wrong to remain ignorant. This has been said by Dayanand Ji who is the founder of Arya Samaj and the great scholar of Vedas. Tremendous respects to Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji on his anniversary. The lamp that you have lit for the new awakening of the nation and society, it will always guide us Indians.

Maharshi Swami Dayanand Saraswati was a great thinker, social reformer and founder of Arya Samaj, a great patriot and social worker of high order of modern India. He was born on February 12, 1824 in Tankara, Gujarat. His childhood name was ‘Moolshankar’. He founded the Arya Samaj to propagate the Vedas and to give freedom to Aryavarta. He always considered the power of the Vedas to be paramount. ‘Return to the Vedas’ was his main slogan. He passed away on October 30, 1883.
